WACO, Texas (KWTX) - One man is dead after crashing into an 18-wheeler on the shoulder of Highway 6 on Tuesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
On April 22, around 5:00 p.m., Troopers responded to a crash on SH-6 near SL-340, east of Waco.
Authorities learned a Dodge Ram traveling southbound drove onto the shoulder of the roadway, crashing into the rear of a truck tractor tank trailer on the shoulder of the roadway.
The driver of the Dodge, identified as Carlton Lee, 42, of Bryan, was sent to Baylor Scott and White in Waco, where he was later pronounced dead.
Texas DPS says next of kin have been notified and no other injuries have been reported.
“Know where you are in your lane. Drifting can be deadly. Stay centered and stay safe. Always know your lane positioning,” Texas DPS says.
