1 dead, 2 others injured after multi-vehicle crash on I-75 in Miami County

One person is dead and two others were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 in Miami County early Sunday morning.

Just after midnight, Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) Troopers were dispatched to a crash involving multiple vehicles on I-75 Southbound beyond SR 571.

The preliminary investigation shows that a Ford being operated by 26-year-old Andrew Romero of Moraine was traveling southbound on I-75 when he slowed with traffic for a crash that had occurred earlier in the area.

Another vehicle, operated by 28-year-old Jennifer Korleski of Tipp City, was traveling southbound behind Romero.

Korleski failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and hit the rear of Romero’s vehicle.

Romero’s vehicle overturned and traveled off the right side of the roadway, coming to rest on its side.

Korleski’s vehicle became disabled and came to final rest in the left lane before being struck by a Jeep.

Troopers are investigating the crash involving the Jeep separately, according to the OSHP.
