St. Louis, MO (May 02, 2025) On Wednesday afternoon, a horrific 10-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 left 6 people hurt.
According to authorities, the massive collision happened around 4:00 p.m. near I-270 in north St. Louis County.
Reports say that a chain-reaction crash involving ten vehicles injured six people and shut down westbound Interstate 70.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the series of collisions began when a Dodge RAM and Jeep collided, blocking a lane.
As traffic attempted to avoid the initial crash, a Toyota rear-ended a KIA, which then hit the RAM and Jeep. Another Toyota then struck the first Toyota.
Meanwhile, vehicles were slowing down behind the scene, when a semi-truck rear-ended a Dodge Hornet, triggering further collisions with a Dodge Grand Caravan, a GMC, and a Lexus.
Paramedics transported six people, ages 17 to 44, to local hospitals. Most injuries were minor, but a 22-year-old woman suffered serious injuries. Authorities reopened all lanes of I-70 by 6:00 p.m.
