SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — One person was injured in a crash involving two tractor-trailers on Interstate 81 in Sullivan County Monday.
According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), around 11 p.m., a tractor-trailer was traveling south on I-81 near Exit 57 and began to jackknife.
The vehicle reportedly hit a sign and came to a rest blocking the right lane of I-81.
Shortly after, a second tractor-trailer traveling in the right lane hit the disabled vehicle, THP stated.
The driver of the first tractor-trailer was taken to a nearby hospital, according to THP.
No other injuries were reported.
