1 dead in multi-vehicle crash on North Freeway at Mount Houston, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – At least one person was killed Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on the North Freeway, which shut the northbound lanes for hours.

According to the Houston Police Department, the crash, which happened at about 3:45 a.m., involved multiple vehicles. At some point during the incident, a person got out of their vehicle and was hit.

This caused the highway to be shut down for about five hours, but lanes were reopened just before 9 a.m.

The condition of those involved was not immediately released.
