Disabled vehicle struck on Interstate 91 in New Haven, catches fire

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A disabled vehicle was struck overnight on Interstate 91 in New Haven, causing it to erupt into flames, said state police.

At 12:45 a.m. while state troopers were making their way to the service call, the disabled vehicle was struck while stationed in the middle lane. The vehicle then caught on fire.

State police say no injuries were reported and the scene was cleared just after 2:00 a.m.
