A man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday when he was struck by a big rig on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Claremont.

The crash occurred at 5:10 a.m. Saturday on the eastbound freeway just west of South Indian Hill Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A preliminary investigation determined the man was a passenger in a gray Toyota Camry that was involved in a collision and blocking the No. 3 eastbound lane, the CHP reported.
