Goochland County, VA — July 29, 2025, one person was injured due to a truck accident shortly before 8:30 a.m. along Interstate Highway 64.
According to authorities, a box truck hauling bags of concrete was traveling westbound on I.H. 64 in the vicinity of State Highway 288 (World War II Veterans Memorial Highway) when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the box truck failed to safely maintain control. It was consequently involved in a single-vehicle accident in which it overturned onto its side. It was then apparently struck by another commercial vehicle.
The person who had been behind the wheel of the box truck reportedly sustained injuries of unknown severity, though they were apparently non-life-threatening; they were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
