Bannock County, ID — January 13, 2026, one person was killed in a truck accident just before 4 a.m. on U.S. Highway 30 near Pocatello.
Authorities said a Mercury Grand Marquis crashed into the trailer that had become disconnected from an eastbound 2024 Freightliner semi-truck and settled in the westbound lanes.
The Mercury driver, a 52-year-old man whose name has not been made public yet, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
No other injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Bannock County crash at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
