Chevy Blazer Driver Stops On Interstate Fast Lane, Causes Massive Crash: Video

A new viral video shows a very nasty crash in Arkansas involving a Chevy Blazer crossover.

The footage was captured by an Arkansas Department of Transportation traffic camera, and apparently occurred on the Southbound side of Interstate 55 near exit 63 around 9:00 a.m. local time on January 9th, 2026.

In the video, we see a white Chevy Blazer crossover coming to a stop in the fast lane of the interstate. Traffic is relatively light, but there are still cars passing by at highway speeds. Clearly, this is extremely dangerous.

It’s unclear at first why the Chevy Blazer is stopped. Then, two passengers exit the vehicle, pop the rear hatch, and open the fuel filler door. It looks like the Blazer ran out of fuel. One of the passengers grabs a small gas can, while the other passenger stands on the side of the road. The passenger with the gas can runs across the opposite side of the interstate.

Nothing happens for a while, with traffic moving by as one of the passengers looks at their phone on the side of the road, then around the 1-minute mark, we see another vehicle rear-end the Chevy at speed, absolutely obliterating both vehicles.

The Chevy Blazer is flipped onto its roof, while the front end of the other vehicle is completely smashed in. We see three individuals exit from the vehicle that smashed into the Blazer.

We then see some vehicles stop to assess the situation and try to help out while traffic moves by slowly on the adjacent shoulder. Around the four-minute mark, the passenger with the gas can sprints back across the interstate and almost gets smashed by an oncoming semi-truck in the process.

The video title states that the sedan that hit the Chevy Blazer was distracted, although details are scant. Police later arrive on scene, as do paramedics.

Suffice to say, if you run out of fuel, pull over to the shoulder.
