Newville man, 37, hit and killed while trying to direct traffic around disabled vehicle

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A man who was trying to direct traffic around a disabled vehicle was hit by a car and killed Monday evening.

On Tuesday, Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall identified the victim as Christopher Alan Righi, 37, of Newville.

He was struck around 5:41 p.m. in the 300 block of Green Spring Road in North Newton Township.

Righi was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, and his cause of death was found to be multiple traumatic injuries.

Pennsylvania State Police are still investigating the crash.
