A fatal early-morning crash along Interstate 45 in Harris County claimed the life of a woman on Sunday, December 28, 2025, after her disabled vehicle was struck from behind, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The collision occurred near the 14500 block of the North Freeway at approximately 2:30 a.m., while traffic was still moving through the area.
Investigators reported that the woman had been driving a Honda Fit when she suffered a flat tire and remained in a travel lane. While she was stopped, a Jeep Wrangler traveling in the same direction collided with the rear of her vehicle. The impact caused the Jeep to roll onto its side. Emergency responders arrived shortly afterward, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jeep driver was not injured and, according to authorities, did not show signs of intoxication. The investigation remains ongoing.
