CINCINNATI (WXIX) -A semi-truck driver from New York was taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash occurred in Warren County early Sunday morning, according to troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, OSP.
Troopers say they were called around 6:15 a.m. to I-71 north of State Route 123 for the report of a commercial vehicle crash involving a box truck.
The box truck was abandoned on the right side of the road after it was disabled due to a mechanical issue.
Troopers say the semi driver, Mohamed Ould Baba, 64, drove into the right shoulder and hit the box truck, pushing it off the right side of the road and onto its top.
Baba was taken to the hospital, troopers said.
OSP did not state the extent of the injuries.
Troopers say the road was shut down for several hours for cleanup, but has since been reopened.
