Mercer Co., NJ – Man Seriously Injured in Truck Crash on NJ Tpke near MM 62.1

Mercer County, NJ (March 30, 2026) – A man from Delaware suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a tractor-trailer Saturday night, March 28, on the New Jersey Turnpike in Robbinsville Township. The incident occurred around 8:22 p.m. on the northbound outer roadway near milepost 62.1.

New Jersey State Police said the crash happened when a Chrysler van became disabled and stopped in the roadway. A northbound Freightliner tractor-trailer then struck the van, causing both vehicles to catch fire.

Emergency units arrived and worked to assist those involved. The van’s driver, identified as a 56-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials confirmed no other injuries in the accident. The events leading up to the collision remain under review at this time.
