GOODHUE COUNTY, Minn. — One person remains in serious condition and a Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office deputy was treated and released from the hospital following a crash on Highway 52 near Pine Island.
According to the sheriff’s office, just after 4 p.m. on Saturday, a deputy’s Ford Explorer was parked on the shoulder of Highway 52 near milepost 72, as the deputy was awaiting a driving complaint. That’s when a Nissan Altima traveling southbound struck the squad, according to the sheriff’s office.
