ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Lanes have reopened after a multiple-vehicle crash midday Sunday in Gwinnett County, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
The incident happened when a vehicle became disabled and was not able to be moved to the side, GDOT said. Emergency crews worked the scene at Hamilton Mill Rd (exit 120) to clean it up.
Five people were taken to the hospital with injuries in the wreck, which involved three vehicles, GDOT said.
During the hourslong closure, drivers were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes, GDOT said.
