Tow Truck Driver Hurt in 3-Vehicle Wreck on SR-91 in Anaheim, CA

Anaheim, CA (June 10, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash on the westbound SR-91 to southbound SR-55 transition road left a tow truck driver injured on Tuesday afternoon, June 9, after a white Lexus SUV struck the back of his truck while it was stopped on the right shoulder. The tow truck driver was seen limping at the scene, and a medical response was requested for him. Fire units were also dispatched as a precaution.

The collision involved the Lexus, the Freeway Service Patrol tow truck, and a gray Toyota Avalon. A witness confirmed the Lexus struck the rear of the tow truck, which was stopped with a white truck at the time of the accident. All three vehicles came to rest in the transition road, and debris spread across the lanes.

The fast lanes were blocked, with vehicles cutting over from the mainlines to get around the collision. A tow was called for the involved vehicles. No names were released in connection with the wreck. The sequence of events that led to the rear-end strike is still being examined by investigators.

We hope the tow truck driver and all those hurt make a full recovery.
