2 children, woman killed after 18-wheeler hits disabled vehicle on U.S. 80

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - An 18-wheeler struck a disabled vehicle on U.S. 80, sending the car off a bridge and killing a woman and two children Sunday night.

Vanecia Deshun Williams, 38, and children aged 14 and 9 were killed on the scene.

According to a preliminary DPS report, troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 80 east of Windmill Farms Boulevard. A 2013 Hyundai car was disabled in the right lane of U.S. 80 and the driver of the 18-wheeler was unable to avoid hitting the car.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
