An injury accident reported by the Idaho State Police has become a fatal accident after the driver of one of the vehicles passed away at the hospital.
The accident happened in Southern Idaho, north of Malad City, on Interstate 15.
The report from the Idaho State Police shares that the accident happened on July 22, at 3:49 PM. A driver traveling along Interstate 15 struck an abandoned vehicle on the side of the highway at mile marker 20.
A GMC Savana was traveling northbound on I15.
The driver drove onto the shoulder and struck a disabled Ford Mustang, then came to rest in the median where the driver was ejected.
The driver, a 31-year-old man from Pocatello, was not wearing his seatbelt and was transported by ground ambulance and then air ambulance to a local hospital.
The driver of the GMC reportedly passed away at the hospital. The Ford was unoccupied when the crash happened.
A fatal accident reported in northern Nevada, near the city of Wells, has been updated with the names and ages of the four people killed in the crash. The update also shares what police believe to have been the cause of the deadly accident. Four other occupants were also taken to the hospital, including a 5-year-old girl, as a result of the accident.
