BRATENAHL, Ohio (WOIO) - An Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) trooper was hit while in his cruiser during a traffic stop in Bratenahl on Monday night.
According to OSHP, at around 9:24 p.m., the trooper was performing a traffic stop blocking I‑90 westbound near MP 178 when he was hit by another car.
This crash caused his cruiser to hit the car he had stopped.
The trooper was taken to University Hospital Main Campus, treated and released.
All three drivers were mildly injured, according to OSHP.
The driver of the car that was pulled over was also taken to University Hospital for treatment, while the driver who hit the trooper remained on the scene with minor injuries.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
