PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer crashed into a Pasco County school bus Tuesday, injuring four people.
The crash happened on U.S. Highway 301 near Desrosier Road at 9:57 a.m.
FHP says the school bus was stopped in the outside lane with its red flashing lights and stop arm activated.
Troopers say a tractor-trailer going southbound failed to stop, swerved and hit a Hyundai Tucson before striking the back of the school bus.
Two passengers on the school bus, a 13-year-old boy and a 22-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. A 29-year-old man driving the Hyundai and his 26-year-old passenger also suffered minor injuries. The Hyundai passenger, a Zephyrhills woman, was also taken to the hospital.
The truck driver and school bus driver were not injured.
