USPS worker killed in collision in Santa Rosa, police say
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KGO) – A U.S. Postal Service worker was killed after their mail truck was hit by a vehicle in Santa Rosa Monday, police said. Santa Rosa police say they received a call at around 5 p.m., of a driver in a GMC SUV who was driving erratically at a high-rate of speed near Corrigan Street and North Point Parkway. The SUV crashed into a parked mail truck where the postal worker was working outside of the vehicle.

CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. — Authorities say the body of a Wisconsin father who went missing on Wednesday night has been located following a two-day search. According to New Berlin police, the body of 45-year-old Ben Oberto was located on Friday afternoon after authorities found his silver 2019 Subaru Impreza overturned in a creek along the curve of the I-90 eastbound ramp to I-294 northbound, in Rosemont, near Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach man was killed Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle that sent them colliding with a disabled car on the shoulder of Highway 501, authorities said. David Berry, 50, died at Conway Medical Center of multiple traumatic injuries, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said Saturday evening. It happened about 1:40 a.m. near the intersection of Savannah Bluff Road about two miles east of Conway, South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper William Bennett said.

LANCASTER, Pa. — A multi-vehicle crash on the westbound Route 30 overpass over Route 283 occurred around 3:40 p.m. The overpass is now open after being closed for almost an hour. A vehicle hit a truck that was broken down on the side of the road, causing the empty truck to hit the siderail. Two family members from Minnesota were killed when their SUV struck a semitrailer truck that was pulled over partly in the lane of traffic along the Kansas Turnpike and then hit another semi that was stopped. The crash occurred about 4:10 a.m. Monday on northbound Interstate 35 near Wichita, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Killed in the accident were 78-year-old Thomas Reller and 27-year-old Octavia Reller, according to the patrol.

State police said troopers were called around 6:30 a.m. to the northbound lanes of I-95 near mile marker 81.9 near the Maryland Route 543\Riverside Parkway exit, where a pickup truck rear-ended a tractor-trailer parked on the right shoulder. All lanes of I-95 northbound are closed as firefighters used foam with the assistance of a tanker truck to battle the fire, Harford County fire officials said.
