Brookville Teen Seriously Injured After Hitting Disabled Car on I-80
WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Brookville teen suffered suspected serious injuries when she crashed her car into a disabled vehicle on Interstate 80 in Washington Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. on October 18, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police in DuBois. It happened on I-80 East at mile marker 91.4 in Washington Township, Jefferson County. According to police, a 2024 Audi A6 was disabled in the left lane of travel after it struck a deer at that location.

An Ohio motorist driving on a highway shoulder smashed into a stationary freeway safety patrol vehicle in Columbus on Tuesday, October 28, footage released by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) showed. The patrol vehicle was hit shortly after helping clear a crash scene on Interstate 270 at Sawmill Road in Columbus, the ODOT said. There were no life-threatening injuries, officials said. “This is yet another reminder to move over, slow down, and pay attention while on the road,” the department warned.

ARCOLA, Ill. (WCIA) — An Illinois State Police squad car was struck on I-57 in Arcola as a trooper was directing traffic for another crash Thursday morning. At around 5:50 a.m., a State Police trooper was parked across the northbound lanes of I-57 conducting traffic control for a different crash that involved a commercial motor vehicle, according to a news release from ISP. The trooper had turned on the squad car’s emergency lights and was directing traffic to exit at milepost 203 onto IL 133.

Des Moines, IA (October 29, 2025) – A tragic collision on Interstate 35 claimed the life of a young woman on Tuesday afternoon. The fatal crash occurred in the northbound lanes near mile marker 100.9, where a semi-truck was stopped on the shoulder due to mechanical issues. SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 32-year-old Keyport man was struck and killed by an SUV early Monday morning after he exited his disabled vehicle following a multi-car crash on the NJ Turnpike in South Brunswick, state police said. According to a preliminary investigation, around 4 a.m. Albert R. Masonius was driving a Nissan passenger vehicle southbound when it collided with a Toyota minivan. The impact disabled the Nissan, leaving it stopped in the center lane, police said.

The driver of a sedan was struck and killed early Tuesday morning after exiting his disabled vehicle following a separate crash on Route 1 in Falls Township. Falls Township police responded around 2:25 a.m. to the scene on Route 1 northbound, just north of the Route 13 overpass, for a report of a traffic crash involving a pedestrian. The preliminary investigation found that a black Cadillac traveling north on Route 1 lost control at the overpass, striking the concrete lane divider before coming to rest in the middle of the highway, police said.

Edison, New Jersey (October 22, 2025) — A 60-year-old truck driver from New Orleans was struck and killed Wednesday afternoon while standing on the shoulder of the New Jersey Turnpike in Middlesex County, according to state police. Incident Details: The fatal crash occurred around 2:42 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the Turnpike near Edison. Authorities said Shawn Mornay was standing on the right shoulder beside his Freightliner tractor flatbed trailer when another Freightliner truck, driven by a 37-year-old man from Blackwood, veered toward the shoulder and struck both Mornay and the left side of his parked vehicle.

One Injured after Driver Hits Car Stopped on Shoulder HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2025) — A two-vehicle crash early Friday morning left one person injured on the eastbound Pomona 60 Freeway near Hacienda Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision was reported on Oct. 24th around 4:41 a.m. and involved a gray Honda Civic and a gray Toyota sedan. CHP logs indicate that one vehicle was stopped on the right shoulder when it was struck at a high rate of speed by another vehicle.

Jeremy Burkett said Watts was driving a Buick LaCrosse that was stopped in the road after being involved in a previous wreck.
