Driver killed after semitruck strikes pickup on I-270 near I-44
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — One driver is dead after a crash involving a pickup truck and a semitruck early Monday morning on Interstate 270. According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened just before 1 a.m. Monday on northbound I-270, south of Interstate 44. Troopers said a 2013 Ram 1500 pickup truck was stopped in Lanes 1 and 2, facing east, after being involved in a previous crash.

ATHENS, Ga. - A 30-year-old Athens man died Monday morning after crashing his truck into a ditch on Old Hull Road and stepping into the roadway. Emergency responders rushed to the 600 block of Old Hull Road around 5:55 a.m. Monday following reports of a severe collision. Investigators say 30-year-old Brayan Castro-Delgado was driving a black Nissan Frontier east when his vehicle crossed the center line, ran off the road and hit a ditch.

Saddle Brook Police Chief John Zotollo Jr. identified the officer as Nicholas Genuario, who was sworn into the department in 2024. Genuario had stopped a gray Nissan Maxima in the deceleration lane of Route 80 eastbound at milepost 62.4 around 4:34 a.m., New Jersey State Police said. While Genuario was outside the vehicle, an unknown vehicle traveling east struck the left side of the Nissan and the officer before fleeing the scene, state police said.

IRWINDALE, Calif. (KABC) – An Irwindale police officer narrowly avoided serious injury when a pickup truck crashed into a patrol vehicle during a traffic stop on the 605 Freeway, according to police. The crash occurred around 4 a.m. July 23 on the southbound 605 Freeway after an officer stopped a driver for speeding. Both vehicles were pulled over on the side of the freeway. “The officer contacted the driver and had returned to his patrol car,” police said.

NILES, Mich. (WSBT) — A sad confirmation about the two South Bend women who vanished on Sunday. Their vehicle was found and recovered on Tuesday in the St. Joseph River in Niles. Investigators confirmed that the two women inside the submerged Jeep were 24-year-old Vanessa Bautista and 23-year-old Alexa Navarro. Niles Police believe the car went over the embankment in the area of Laurel and South Lincoln Avenue and ended in the river.

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) — On Wednesday morning, a multivehicle crash on Highway 603 left two police officers with minor injuries. The Bay St. Louis Police Department said Wednesday on Facebook that the officers were assisting the driver of a disabled semitruck when their units were hit by a vehicle traveling on the highway. The department said the officers received only minor injuries and that everyone involved is okay.

The crash happened Wednesday, sometime before 7:34 a.m. Santa Fe County Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found county medical personnel treating a 74-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man for their injuries. The woman died at the scene. The man also died after being taken to Christus St.
