2 FHP troopers hospitalized after crash on Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade
A major crash on the Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade on Monday left two Florida Highway Patrol troopers hospitalized and caused the roadway to be completely shut down at one point. The crash happened around 10:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike near Northwest 106th Street. FHP officials said a silver FHP truck towing a trailer was being followed by a marked FHP Charger when the trailer became disabled by a flat tire.

Chicago, IL (June 14, 2026) – An Illinois Department of Transportation worker was hurt early on Sunday morning, June 14, after a KIA sedan struck an emergency traffic patrol truck on Interstate 94 near 37th Street in Chicago. According to state police, the crash happened around 1:56 a.m. in the southbound express lanes of I-94. The worker had stopped to help a stranded driver and was standing outside the IDOT Emergency Traffic Patrol vehicle with its emergency lights activated.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – A driver has been arrested after a fatal hit-and-run crash early Monday morning. The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Roger Bailey of Philadelphia, according to police. Police responded to the 2500 block of West Hunting Park Avenue around 3:40 a.m. after reports of a multi-vehicle crash. Officials say two vehicles were in the area after a gray 2007 Ford Escape had become disabled on the roadway.

State troopers say that just before 11 p.m., a Toyota pickup was heading west on I-94 towards Rothsay, when it lost control and crashed into the center median. The disabled truck ended up blocking the left lane of the interstate. An SUV was also heading west when it struck the pickup. A FedEx semi also came along and joined the collision.

A crash left a 35-year-old pedestrian seriously injured Friday evening in East Northport. Suffolk police say Fausto Sorto, of Brentwood, pulled over on to the shoulder of Town Line Road just after 7:30 p.m. He stepped out and walked to the back of his vehicle when another driver traveling eastbound hit him. Authorities say he was taken to South Shore University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The 17-year-old driver of the other vehicle was unhurt.

A young person has died after being struck by a vehicle in Dallas early Saturday morning. Dallas police responded to a major accident on the freeway in the 8100 block of northbound Julius Schepps Freeway at approximately 10:24 a.m. Preliminary investigations led officers to believe that two vehicles were involved in the crash, but it was later revealed that the crash was actually an auto-pedestrian accident. Two vehicles were involved, but further investigation showed that the juvenile passenger was struck after exiting one of the vehicles.

A man and a woman who went to help a driver who had crashed on Interstate 15 near Fallbrook early Thursday were killed when a third car ran into the passenger side of the vehicle, a California Highway Patrol officer said. The crash and resulting cleanup and investigation forced the closure of northbound I-15 for several hours. All lanes reopened shortly before 9 a.m. The incident began around 4:10 a.m. on the freeway north of state Route 76 when a 21-year-old man driving a Honda CR-V ran into the back of a Toyota Sienna in one of the middle lanes, said CHP Officer Hunter Gerber.
