Josue Soto Injured in Car Accident in Jersey Village, TX
According to officials, 26-year-old Josue David Soto was in a Toyota 4Runner going along the freeway. Up ahead, there was a Kia reportedly disabled in the lanes of travel. The Toyota struck the disabled Kia, then flipped over. As a result, Soto was seriously injured. There were no other confirmed injuries. Some of the key factors in any crash involving a disabled vehicle is whether or not the vehicle was visible, whether or not they were able to get their vehicle out of the travel lanes, and also why the vehicle was disabled.

DEKALB COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) - A 38-year-old woman died on Sunday morning after she was involved in two car crashes that left five others injured. A Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report indicated that Luci Pineda of Farmington, Minnesota, was driving on southbound Interstate 35 just north of Cameron, Missouri, at 5 a.m. when her 2000 Toyota 4Runner drove into the median and overcorrected. The vehicle returned back onto the interstate but overturned.

A hit-and-run driver remains outstanding after they collided with an overturned vehicle on the 101 Freeway and fled on foot. Preliminary information indicates that police had responded to the eastbound span of the 101 near Balboa Boulevard in Encino just before 3 a.m. Saturday on reports of an overturned red sedan blocking traffic. As first responders arrived on scene, another vehicle – said to be a gray Nissan – barreled into the overturned sedan.

CROMWELL, Conn. — Connecticut State Police are looking for the driver who hit a person on Interstate 91 in Cromwell on Friday evening. State police were called to respond near Exit 21 on I-91 South in Cromwell just after 8 p.m. Friday. A Tesla was parked on the right shoulder, and the 38-year-old driver was outside the car, troopers said. A small, white Honda sedan veered into the right shoulder and hit the Tesla and the Tesla’s driver, leaving him with serious injuries, state police said.

SPRINGDALE, Ohio (WKRC) - A truck driver is dead after an accident on an I-275 exit ramp Friday morning. Springdale Police said Darren Hayes, 57, got out of his disabled tractor-trailer on the ramp from the eastbound lanes to Springfield Pike at about 10:17 a.m. Another tractor-trailer came down the ramp, collided with the first truck on the emergency shoulder and knocked Hayes down where he became trapped under the tires of his own truck, according to police.

HOUSTON - A woman is dead following a crash just before 10:00 PM on Wednesday. Police say the woman, believed to be in her 60s, was driving an SUV that hit the back of a disabled commercial truck. She was traveling at high speed and suffered critical injuries, dying at the scene. The truck driver, employed by a private company, was not injured. The truck was disabled when the collision occurred.

EAST DEER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) – One person has died after a multi-vehicle crash on Route 28. According to a media release from Pa. State Police, shortly after 7 a.m., a Dodge Challenger was traveling southbound on Route 28 at a high rate of speed when it attempted to pass a Ford F-350. The driver of the Challenger, identified as Sheena Fitzgerald, impacted the bumper of the F-350 before losing control of the vehicle, traveling off the left side of the road, and crossing into the center median.

LOS ANGELES - Dramatic video captured the moment multiple vehicles collided on the 5 Freeway in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake neighborhood. “That is not good, oh my god!” the witness said ahead of the crash. Authorities said the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on the southbound lanes of the freeway at Glendale Boulevard. Four people were taken to the hospital and their conditions are unknown. The crash led to an hours-long freeway closure and all lanes have since reopened.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was found dead behind the wheel of a crashed car along the side of Interstate 40 in Hermitage Tuesday. Officers were dispatched to the entrance ramp for the westbound side of I-40 from Central Pike on Tuesday evening. A contractor with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) had reportedly been picking up trash in the area when they discovered a crashed vehicle in the woodline.

A 44-year-old Suffolk man died after he was hit while checking on his disabled car on the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel, state police said. John Edward Williams stopped on the shoulder of the northbound lanes of Interstate 664 on the bridge in Newport News just before 11 p.m. Saturday for “mechanical issues.” A spokesperson for Virginia State Police said Williams got out of his 2004 Chevrolet Malibu and checked the engine. At the same time, David Clayton Rosas, 34, was driving northbound when he ran off the roadway and struck the back of Williams’ Malibu.
