Woman hit, killed by vehicle on I-57, man hit by and injured by another vehicle
A woman was struck and killed on the shoulder of I-57 on Chicago’s South Side Sunday night, and a man who got out to help her was struck too. At 8:51 p.m. Sunday, a woman had gotten out of a sport-utility vehicle on inbound Interstate 57 at Halsted Street for unspecified reasons, and she was on the shoulder of the expressway when a passing vehicle struck her, Illinois State Police said.

A multi-vehicle crash on the westbound 210 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley left several people injured and lanes closed for many hours Saturday night. A car was reportedly driving the wrong way at a high speed on the freeway, which turned lethal when the car crashed into a box truck, officials said. Soon after the collision, a second crash involving several other cars was also reported. The box truck was engulfed in flames during the crash that happened just before 6 p.

CLEVELAND — A Mansfield man suffered serious injuries and three others were hurt after a Cleveland driver caused a crash involving a parked car and tow truck on the shoulder of Interstate 71 in Richland County. According to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday near milepost 173 of I-71 in Mifflin Township. Troopers say a 36-year-old Cleveland man was driving his 2026 Ford Bronco south on I-71 when the car went off the left side of the highway and struck a Lexus that was parked on the left shoulder.

Westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway reopened in Gilbert on Sunday after a chain reaction crash forced a closure and left a woman dead. The crash occurred at 11:06 a.m. just beyond the Higley Road overpass, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. According to DPS, a Volkswagen electric vehicle was stopped in the second lane from the left with mechanical issues when it was clipped by a Volkswagen Jetta. A Chevrolet pickup truck then struck the Jetta, killing a woman who was its sole occupant.

(KVOA) — The Arizona Department of Public Safety has identified the good Samaritan who was killed after being hit by an SUV while helping at a crash scene on Interstate 10 Tuesday afternoon. Timothy Patsalos, 28, was identified as the victim. The department said he was a semi truck driver from Maricopa, Arizona. On July 21 around 2:57 p.m., a crash occurred on eastbound I-10 near milepost 319.

An injury accident reported by the Idaho State Police has become a fatal accident after the driver of one of the vehicles passed away at the hospital. The accident happened in Southern Idaho, north of Malad City, on Interstate 15. The report from the Idaho State Police shares that the accident happened on July 22, at 3:49 PM. A driver traveling along Interstate 15 struck an abandoned vehicle on the side of the highway at mile marker 20.

BATON ROUGE - A 19-year-old was killed early Thursday morning after running into the back of a vehicle that stopped in the roadway along Nicholson Drive. Louisiana State Police said Madison Marshall was headed north on Nicholson near the corner of Innovation Park Drive around 2:40 a.m. when she ran into a vehicle that was stopped in the road. LSP said the driver had stopped in the travel lane alongside a disabled vehicle that was on the shoulder.

Trevon Wallace, 28, of Morgantown, West Virginia, was driving the white Chevrolet van, and Anthony Pena, 41, of Westmoreland County, was his passenger, according to the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office. Both men died from multiple traumatic injuries, and their deaths were ruled accidental. The crash happened at approximately 10:06 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, on I-81 north near mile marker 70.4 in Lower Paxton Township, state police said. The van traveled across all travel lanes before slamming into the trailer of a commercial motor vehicle that was lawfully disabled on the right shoulder with emergency warning placards displayed.

WINDSOR, Conn. (WFSB) - A man has died after a crash on I-91 in Windsor early Sunday morning. The victim was identified as David Csaszar, 35, of Enfield. The crash was reported around 3:41 a.m. on I-91 northbound near the exit 37 on ramp. State police said Csaszar’s car left the road, collided with the metal guardrail in the right shoulder, crossed all lanes of traffic, crashed into the concrete barrier in the median, and then rolled over onto its side.

A 28-year-old woman is in custody, accused of killing a 39-year-old truck driver in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Dallas County early Wednesday morning. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said a truck driver changing his tire on the shoulder of Interstate 20 just after midnight on Wednesday was struck by a passing vehicle and killed. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Abel Zamudio Gamboa. Investigators said the driver they believed struck Gamboa was in a white or light-colored Chevy Express or GMC Savana van, likely with damage to its right side.
