Tractor-trailer crashes into Pasco school bus on U.S. 301, leaving 4 hurt: FHP
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer crashed into a Pasco County school bus Tuesday, injuring four people. The crash happened on U.S. Highway 301 near Desrosier Road at 9:57 a.m. FHP says the school bus was stopped in the outside lane with its red flashing lights and stop arm activated. Troopers say a tractor-trailer going southbound failed to stop, swerved and hit a Hyundai Tucson before striking the back of the school bus.

BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) [UPDATE 9/14 1:30 P.M.] - Two workers were killed after a major crash on I-95 Monday morning. The crash involved a freightliner box truck and a Ford traffic control truck, according to GSP. Police found that the box truck failed to maintain its lane. The box truck crossed onto the right shoulder and hit the Ford, which was pushed across three lanes, over a guard rail and into the grass median.

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — One person is dead after a crash in Elizabeth City on Friday morning. Officers responded to the area of Halstead Boulevard Extension at Mt. Everest Drive for the report of a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers determined the accident involved an 18-wheeler hauling equipment, which had stopped to unload. While the tractor-trailer was stopped, a 2017 Ford Explorer struck the rear of the detached trailer.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW/Gray News) - A school social worker from Topeka, Kansas, was hit and killed by a vehicle while helping people involved in a crash. According to Kansas Highway Patrol, a crash occurred in the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 75 just before 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 10. The crash caused a Honda Civic to go onto the grass median on Highway 75 and stop on the shoulder of the northbound lanes.

State Police say troopers out of SP Dunkirk were patrolling the I-90 around 6:30 a.m. when they located the vehicle and deceased person near the roadway. Troopers and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation say they have located a suspect vehicle that left the scene.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A 24-year-old pedestrian died and a bystander who stopped to help was injured after two separate cars hit them near Ruby and Teutonia Monday night, Sept. 7, according to Milwaukee police. Police say a car traveling south hit the pedestrian around 11:15 p.m. and fled the scene. A witness stopped to help the victim, and while doing so, a second car, also traveling south, hit both the witness and the pedestrian.

GARY, Ind — A truck driver was seriously injured Tuesday morning in a crash involving two semi-tractor-trailers in northwest Indiana. According to Indiana State Police, it happened around 3:30 a.m. Sept. 8 in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80/94 at the exit ramp to Burr Street. A preliminary investigation indicates a truck loaded with Amazon packages was parked on a berm between the ramp and highway lanes and the driver was reported to be standing outside the truck and urinating, a spokesperson said.

VIRGINIA - Two drivers are facing reckless driving charges following an investigation into a Sunday afternoon crash that killed three people on the Interstate 66 Express Lanes in Fairfax County. What we know: The multi-vehicle crash occurred around 4:10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6, in the westbound I-66 Express Lanes near mile marker 64. According to Virginia State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a Toyota 4Runner and a commercial motor vehicle transporting oxygen tanks had stopped in the right travel lane.

A 70-year-old driver died after trying to evade a disabled vehicle and hitting a center divide on southbound Interstate 15 in Rancho Bernardo early Monday, a California Highway Patrol officer said. Just before 8 a.m., a Honda sedan collided with a large object on the I-15, north of West Bernardo Drive and blocking a right lane, CHP Officer Issam Wahhab said. The driver of a Toyota swerved to the right, lost control, then veered to the left and struck the center divide, he said.
