Wrong-way driver exits crashed car on freeway and is hit twice, killing him, CA cops say
A wrong-way driver on a Los Angeles highway died after being hit by a passing vehicle and a bus following a collision, the California Highway Patrol reported. The man was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 110 when his Honda hit a cargo van just before 5 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, a CHP news release said. The wrong-way driver exited his Honda and was hit by a passing vehicle, officers said.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man attempting to push his disabled vehicle off I-279 North was hit by a > truck and two Pennsylvania State Troopers who responded to that crash were hit by another vehicle early Tuesday. All three people are in the hospital. Police said that shortly after midnight, a Ford Focus became disabled on the Parkway North near the McKnight Road exit. As the driver got out to push the vehicle off the road, another person pulled over to help.

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A man was pronounced dead after driving his car underneath a parked semi-truck trailer on an Akron highway, the fire department confirmed. Akron police and EMS were sent to the accident on I-77 north from OH-8 north at the Central Interchange at 8:21 p.m. on Dec. 23, Akron Fire Department Public Information Officer Lt. Robert Langston stated. Langston said the car was driven underneath the semi and pinned against the guard rail.

OKLAHOMA CITY — A man was hit by vehicle while getting out of his car in northwest Oklahoma City on Monday evening. At around 6:15 p.m., three vehicles were involved in a crash, where they each rear-ended each other. One of those drivers got out of his vehicle to survey the damage when a fourth vehicle, which was not involved in the initial crash, attempted to drive around the crash scene and hit the man, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department.

According to WTOK, Newton County Sheriff Deputies, Newton Police Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, Newton Fire, and Hickory Fire responded to the scene of a Multi-Vehicle accident Saturday evening. The wreck happened on I-20 eastbound near mile marker 114. WTOK reports that four cars were involved in the crash. One of the cars caught on fire and two people died. According to WTOK, 67-year-old Amarnath Thirumalaiyer and 56-year-old Sujatha Amarnath, both from Allen, Texas, were the two individuals who died in the crash.

KALISPELL — A man who was reported missing 10 days ago was found dead at the scene of a rollover car accident. Troopers in South Carolina are investigating a crash that killed one person and seriously injured four others over the weekend. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened Saturday, around 8:30 p.m., on S.C. Highway 5 near Estate Drive in York. Troopers said two people were on the side of the highway working on a disabled vehicle when two other cars collided, causing one to flip and hit the people on the road.

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Woodburn Fire Department responded for a vehicle fire last week after officials say it started from a crash. On Tuesday, Dec. 17, officials say firefighters responded to the 2400 block of Morehead Road. Upon arrival, the fire department says a single vehicle had an active fire. Officials say the occupants escaped before units arrived. According to officials, the fire had started from a crash into a parked trailer on the side of the road where a lawn crew was working.

According to the New York State Police, the crash occurred in Montgomery around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17. State police said an investigation determined that Judith Lorveus-Feqyuere, 46, of Monroe, was driving westbound when she stopped in the passing lane for no apparent reason. A second vehicle behind was able to stop but was rear-ended by a third vehicle, pushing it into Lorveus-Fequiere. Vehicle three was hit by vehicle four, followed by vehicle five, state police said.
