Elton Marsh Sr., 2 Injured in Multi-Truck Accident in Tye, TX
Taylor County, TX — August 9, 2024, Elton Marsh Sr. and two others were injured following a multi-truck accident at around 2:15 a.m. along I-20. Investigators said in initial statements that the accident happened along the westbound lanes of the interstate near Scott Road/F.M. 707. According to officials, 50-year-old Elton Marsh Sr. was in a Freightliner semi-trailer going along the interstate. Another semi-trailer and a Ford pickup with a trailer were parked along the shoulder.

St. Louis, MO (February 25, 2025) – A nighttime crash on westbound Interstate 44, just east of Bowles Avenue, left two people injured on Monday. The collision occurred at approximately 10:23 p.m. and resulted in both vehicles sustaining total damage. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened when a 2016 Volkswagen Passat, driven by a 39-year-old woman from St. Louis, veered off the roadway and collided with a 2021 Mercedes Sprinter van that was stopped on the shoulder.

STONECREST, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An 11-year-old girl is dead after a multi-car crash that blocked traffic for hours on I-20 westbound in DeKalb County early Monday morning. Seven people were injured in the crash, which happened in Stonecrest, according to the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department. The girl killed has been identified as Nevaeh Govan by the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office. A man was also critically injured in the crash, and a 9-year-old was hurt, according to police.

All lanes were closed before reopening Thursday morning. “After several vehicles crashed while in the eastbound lanes of traffic, a pedestrian from one of the vehicle crossed over the center median and was fatally struck while in the westbound lanes,” a new release from ISP read in part.

ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — Snow brought by a winter storm Wednesday is causing traffic issues on some major roadways across the Triad on Wednesday. One particularly treacherous area has been near the I-40 and I-85 split, where an NC State Highway Patrol trooper told WFMY News 2 that there have been “a lot of collisions,” with one being deemed serious. CBS 17 in Raleigh reported Wednesday that approximately 50 vehicles were involved in one pileup at the I-40/I-85 split that left one person dead and multiple other suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

Hurry, 21, was driving on I-80 west when her vehicle struck the back of a stopped car, Trooper Casey Knott reported. Hurry was killed in the crash. The car was stopped near mile marker 225 due to a detour resulting from a crash further down the interstate that day.
