Fatal Car crash, body found days later
MOYIE SPRINGS — A local man who was reported missing Saturday has been found dead Monday after a fatal car crash. Boundary County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person about 7:30 p.m. Monday, BCSO officials said in a press release. The family of Denzel Tucker, 24, reported that he was last seen with friends in the Moyie Springs area on Saturday, Aug. 12, around midnight. Tucker’s family members had been trying to locate him prior to reporting him missing.

A tow-truck driver is in hospital after he was hit by another vehicle Monday on Anthony Henday Drive in the city’s southeast. Edmonton police say the man was getting out of his tow truck around 1:15 p.m. on Monday to check a mechanical issue after pulling onto the shoulder of the busy ring road near 17 Street when he was struck by a vehicle heading in the same direction. The tow truck did not have its emergency flashing lights activated, police said.

LYNNWOOD, Wash — Two people were hospitalized overnight after a man whose car had broken down on State Route 525 was hit by another driver. According to the Washington State Patrol, a 25-year-old driver’s vehicle had broken down on SR 525, and the driver had exited the vehicle while it was in the roadway. A 58-year-old driver ended up striking both the driver and his vehicle just before midnight. Both the 25-year-old driver and a 21-year-old female passenger who was inside his vehicle at the time were taken to Harborview Medical Center.

BALTIMORE - Robert Horne was described by a former co-worker as a “Gentle Giant.” Horne, 50, was a good Samaritan, helping a driver with a disabled car, before he was killed in a tragic crash on I-395 Sunday night in Baltimore City. Earl Brown said that sums up Horne’s unselfish nature. “That’s normally Horne to always stop and pulling over, I don’t care where he at,” Brown told WJZ. “He always try to help somebody.

Police and firefighters had their hands full Sunday afternoon when they responded to a multi-vehicle pileup that shut down Interstate 295 in Freeport. Maine State Police said no one was seriously hurt, but that the weather was partly to blame for the series of accidents involving 14 different vehicles. “Heavy downpours along with significantly heavy traffic were factors,” police said. KINGSBRIDGE HEIGHTS, the Bronx (WABC) – A man was hit twice while standing outside his car on the Major Deegan Expressway. Police say a 22-year-old man was driving a Honda near Van Cortlandt Park South when it became disabled. When he got out of the car in the left lane, the driver was hit by a Subaru that also heading southbound on the Major Deegan Expressway. Officials say the impact of this crash caused the 22-year-old to be thrown into the northbound lane, where he was then hit by a Jeep.

Two people were killed after being struck by vehicles in separate accidents on Thursday in Little Rock and Benton, authorities said. In Little Rock, Zack Clark, 24, of Sherwood was killed after he was struck by a car at about 1:32 a.m. while attempting to push a vehicle stopped on Interstate 630, according to a preliminary fatality report from the Arkansas State Police. Clark was behind a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria that had stopped near exit 7, trying to push it out of the lane of traffic, when a 2017 Hyundai Sonata collided with the rear of the Ford, killing him, according to the report.

A 36-year-old Riverside man died Wednesday after he was hit by a box truck while standing on the shoulder of Highway 101 near Morgan Hill, according to the California Highway Patrol. The man was securing something to his vehicle on the side of westbound 101 south of San Martin Avenue, where the collision occurred about 12:30 p.m., CHP Officer Alfredo Uribe said. For unknown reasons, the truck swerved onto the shoulder of the road and hit the man.

A man is dead after he was hit by a motorhome while retrieving a tire on Interstate 90, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says. The incident happened around 2:23 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at milepost 127.2 in Gillette. According to a fatality crash summary, 75-year-old Texas resident James Smith was behind the wheel of an eastbound pickup pulling a travel trailer when the left rear wheel came off the axle. When Smith stopped and got out to retrieve the tire, he reportedly crossed the travel lanes without regard for oncoming traffic and walked into the path of an eastbound motorhome that had merged into the left-hand lane due to his pickup and travel trailer being parked on the right shoulder.

A deadly crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred Monday on the southbound lanes of Interstate 215, just south of State Route 91, and the driver fled the scene, the California Highway Patrol said. CHP Riverside units were dispatched around 1:45 A.M. following reports of a collision involving a Honda sport utility vehicle or truck and a pedestrian. Investigators said the driver of the Honda was traveling southbound on Interstate 215 when the vehicle drifted onto the right shoulder.
