Man arrested after crash on I-39/90
ROCK COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) – One man was arrested and another person suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after a crash Thursday involving a disabled vehicle, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The crash was reported near Janesville at 6:07 a.m. on Interstate 90 eastbound. Officials say a pickup truck crashed into the median wall near mile-marker 175. The truck was disabled in the far-left lane. Prior to troopers arriving on scene, additional vehicles hit the disabled pickup truck.

HUBBARD COUNTY, Minn. — One teen is dead and four other people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Lake Emma Township. The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office said the three-vehicle collision occurred just before 6:30 p.m. when a 16-year-old driving a pickup crashed into another vehicle — a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox — along County Road 4. A 15-year-old passenger in the pickup was severely injured, and was taken out of the vehicle.

CASTLE PINES, Colo. — Two people who had gotten out of their vehicle following a four-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 25 were seriously hurt when a semi-truck driver came through the crash scene and caused another crash, the Colorado State Patrol said. A spokesperson for the agency said excessive speed was a factor in the initial crash, which happened in the southbound lanes of the highway near Castle Pines. After the crash, the vehicles involved ended up on both shoulders of the highway, according to CSP.

In an incident late last night on Highway 24, one mile east of Moberly, Missouri, two individuals lost their lives. The crash, which occurred at approximately 11:57 p.m., involved two westbound tractor-trailers. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has confirmed the details of the crash. According to the report, a 2022 Kenworth tractor-trailer was stopped partially off the roadway, with its towed unit blocking both lanes of Highway 24. The driver of the Kenworth was outside the vehicle when a 2023 Freightliner tractor-trailer, driven by 61-year-old Michael D.

DETROIT (FOX 2) - A Detroit woman was hit by a vehicle after getting out of her crashed vehicle Monday morning on I-75. Police said the 30-year-old victim was involved in a crash on the southbound side of the freeway near 7 Mile around 12:50 a.m. After the crash, she got out of her vehicle, which was along the right shoulder, and was walking in the road. She was hit by another driver who stayed at the scene.

MARYLAND – A 40-vehicle collision on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Saturday morning left 13 people suffering from injuries and continues to be under investigation in Maryland. Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) police were alerted about a multi-vehicle crash at 8 a.m. Saturday morning on the westbound span of the Bay Bridge. Police say 23 vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction crash on the westbound span. Roughly 20 additional vehicles were involved in a series of secondary crashes.

CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred along I-20 between Baird and Putnam Sunday morning. At 11:10 a.m. on January 28, crews were dispatched to a crash located seven miles east of Baird. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2017 Freightliner towing a Hyundai was stopped on the shoulder of I-20 westbound. The vehicle was stopped and disabled as the driver attempted to repair the engine. A driver in a 2011 Freightliner towing a Reitnouer trailer failed to maintain a single lane and struck the driver outside of the 2017 Freightliner.

A man was seriously injured after he was struck by a semi-tanker while attempting to rescue his dog from the roadway. The Indiana State Police Toll Road Post is currently investigating the crash, which occurred around 6:30 pm near the 147.8 mile marker in the eastbound lanes of the I-80/90 Toll Road in Steuben County. The pedestrian involved has been identified as 22-year-old Jack Holdren, of Williamsburg, Virginia. Holdren sustained multiple serious injuries in the collision but was reported to be alert and conscious when emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) – Two people have died after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 in Fairfield, according to state police. Troopers responded to the crash around 11:59 p.m. Thursday on I-95 North before Exit 22. A preliminary investigation showed a Chevrolet Impala was driving in the center lane when it spun out for an unknown reason, entered the median and struck the concrete jersey barrier. The Impala then became disabled in the center lane.

MERRITT, B.C. — RCMP are looking into a fatal collision near Merritt earlier this week. According to a news release from B.C. Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Tuesday (Jan. 23) at about 7:30 p.m. Spokesperson Cpl. Melissa Jongema says a pickup truck collided with a semi-truck on the Okanagan Connector near Hamilton Hill. Investigators believe the semi-truck was eastbound when it slid off the highway and hit the ditch. It was then struck by an eastbound pickup truck.
