2 pedestrians killed in crash on I-74 in Woodford County
WOODFORD COUNTY (25News Now) - Two pedestrians are dead after a crash early Saturday morning on I-74 eastbound in Woodford County. Illinois State Police say Troop 4 was dispatched around 1:24 a.m. to investigate a two-vehicle crash that blocked lanes near mile marker 116, between the Mackinaw Dells Rest Area and the Carlock exit. They received another call that a passenger car and a truck tractor semi-trailer struck two pedestrians who were standing in the road near the initial crash.

A 74-year-old man died in crash involving four cars on Interstate 95 in Oakland Park late Thursday night, officials say. Just after 10 p.m., the man, a Homestead resident who was not identified, was driving a Toyota Corolla south on I-95 past Oakland Park Boulevard in the inside travel lane, approaching three stopped cars, Florida Highway Patrol said in a media release. The cars were stopped because of an earlier crash that was blocking the same lane, the release said.

JACKSON COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - One person is dead after a fiery crash on I-94 in Jackson County Friday morning, causing eastbound I-94 between Parma Road and Dearing Road to close. According to authorities at the scene, a 24-year-old man from Decatur was traveling eastbound on I-94 in a construction zone. The car struck a tanker truck that had broken down in the middle of the road. The truck had its safety equipment and signals deployed.

The accident occurred Thursday, at 10:21 p.m., just after the Oakland Park Boulevard, 31B exit, and left investigators and cleanup crews on the scene for hours. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision began when a black 2007 Toyota Corolla traveled southbound on I-95.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the crash occurred on the freeway near 67th Avenue around 5:30 a.m. A disabled vehicle was reportedly blocking traffic on the freeway and shortly after, a semi-truck rolled over on its side. It’s unclear whether the truck, which was hauling produce, rolled after hitting the disabled vehicle or because of another reason.

BALTIMORE - The driver of a disabled vehicle was seriously injured after being struck by another car Tuesday night on I-95 in Baltimore. Police said a driver got out of the disabled car around 8:30 p.m. past Exit 51 (Washington Boulevard) when they were struck by another driver, who remained at the scene. The injured driver was taken to a hospital in serious condition. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the MDTA Police at 410-916-7532.

Troopers on the ground said they believed there were multiple casualties at the scene, including two fatalities.

The victim, a 32-year-old driving a white Chevrolet Cobalt, changed lanes and struck the rear end of the box truck and died in the crash. The two people in the U-Haul were uninjured, according to Michigan State Police. Three children and one other adult inside the Cobalt suffered minor injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals.
