Arcadia Woman Killed, Others Injured in Truck Accident on County Road 769 in Desoto County, FL
Desoto County, FL — June 14, 2023, an Arcadia woman was killed and others were injured following a truck accident at 11:25 a.m. along County Road 769. Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol said that the crash took place along the Kings Highway and involved approximately five vehicles. Current information suggests the events began as a tow truck pulling a trailer was going northbound along County Road 769. Somehow, the trailer came detached from the truck, causing it to veer into oncoming lanes.

MIAMI - One person was killed and nearly a dozen others were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash on I-95 that Miami Fire Rescue called a “mass casualty incident.” The accident, which involved eight vehicles, happened in the southbound lanes in the area of NW 62nd Street at 2:10 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a black Tesla sedan was heading south, lost control, and slammed into the concrete barrier wall.

HAYWARD, CA (June 13, 2023) — A woman died, and two men suffered significant injuries after a driver hit two crashed cars on the 880 Freeway near Highway 92. According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 4:00 a.m. Saturday. Under unclear circumstances, a man driving a 2019 Lincoln MKC crashed into a 2012 Toyota, driven by a man and occupied by a female passenger. All three occupants stopped in the northbound fast lane and exited their respective vehicles.

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) – One person died in a crash involving multiple tractor-trailers on Interstate 40 in Johnston County near mile marker 318. That is McGee’s Crossroads near State Road 210. Investigators said a tractor trailer jackknifed when the driver hit the brakes, trying to slow down to avoid traffic building up farther down the road. The semi then skidded off the road and hit a pedestrian standing next to a parked tractor trailer hauling a steel beam.

CALUMET PARK, Ill. - A fatal crash involving four vehicles closed the outbound lanes of I-57 in the south suburbs for several hours Friday morning. Troopers responded to the multi-vehicle crash on the Cal-Sag Bridge in Calumet Park around 8:25 a.m., according to Illinois State Police. Authorities say a 2014 white Peterbilt truck-tractor with a semi-trailer was broken down and parked on the left shoulder when a 2014 gold Chevrolet sedan that was driving in the right lane – for unknown reasons – crossed all lanes to the left and struck the rear of the truck before swerving back to the right.

CHICAGO (WLS) – One person was killed in a crash on the outbound Bishop Ford on Chicago’s South Side Thursday evening. Illinois State Police said a car drifted onto the shoulder of southbound I-94 near 115th Street, struck the back of a semi-trailer that was parked on the shoulder and flipped. The driver of the car was ejected and died of his injuries, state police said. As it flipped, it struck another car.

LITTLE FALLS — A 42-year-old Eveleth man was injured Thursday, June 8, after the vehicle he was riding in was rear-ended on Highway 10 in Morrison County. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash, reported at 12:22 p.m. in Little Falls. According to the report, a 2019 Dodge Caravan was westbound on the highway, stopping near Highway 27 for some ducks in the road when it was rear-ended by a 2004 Ford F150.

Upper Sandusky - Troopers from the Bucyrus Post are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on June 7, 2023, at approximately 8:36 P.M on U.S. Route (US) 23 near milepost 16 in Wyandot County. The crash involved a 2013 Ford Fusion, operated by Sofia Greggio, age 22, of Canton, Michigan, and a 2011 Volvo commercial truck, operated by Roberto Garces-Guzman, age 47, of North Bergen, New Jersey. Preliminary investigation reveals the Volvo was stopped on the right shoulder of US 23 northbound.

A woman died after being struck by a vehicle while walking across Highway 99 in Sacramento on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
