1 woman killed in hit-and-run after getting out of her stalled car
PLANO (CBSNewsTexas.com) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash after getting out of her stalled car. Plano police say they were called to multiple crashes on southbound US-75 at Legacy Drive around 9:30 p.m. March 13. During the first crash, a stalled vehicle with its hazard lights flashing was stopped in the third lane of US-75. A second vehicle was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear of the stalled vehicle.

BIRMINGHAM, AL, (March 12, 2023) - Enrique Aguilar Camilo was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle on March 12 on Interstate 65 in Birmingham. According to the Birmingham Police Department, Camilo’s vehicle became disabled in the northbound lanes near Green Springs Avenue at about 1:35 a.m. He was struck by another driver while standing outside his vehicle. Sadly, Camilo, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.

TAMPA, Fla. - I-275 through downtown Tampa is moving once again after a multi-vehicle crash closed the interstate early Monday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an unloaded tractor-trailer was traveling northbound on I-275 near Ashley Drive around 2:40 a.m. with a Hyundai SUV traveling alongside it when they both came upon an existing crash. Troopers say the driver of the tractor-trailer, a 45-year-old man, heavily hit the brakes, which caused the tractor-trailer to jackknife, slide toward the median and collide with the right side of the SUV.

BIRMINGHAM – A Birmingham man was killed Saturday, March 11, when a vehicle struck him at the 100 block of Roebuck Drive, Birmingham, while he was waiting for assistance with his disabled vehicle, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office announced. James Lee Brown Jr., 53, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:02 a.m. “The decedent was the driver and lone occupant of a disabled motor vehicle in the 100 block of Roebuck Drive,” Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said.

A three-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon at John Puryear Drive and Husband Road claimed the life of a Paducah woman. The crash occurred just before 12:30 Sunday off I-24 exit 11. McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies determined that a car and a pickup collided in the intersection. Then a secondary collision occurred when an SUV hit the car. The car’s driver, 86-year-old Wanda Hankins of Paducah, was taken to a local hospital.

About 6:43 a.m., Indiana State Police reported the semitrailer overturned in the southbound lanes between State Road 10 and State Road 14, according to a tweet from Sgt. Glen Fifield. Fifield said the accident sparked a second crash between three vehicles in the same vicinity as the semitrailer.

(KFGO) – Two people were killed and two others were hurt during a collision that involved three pickups and a car on highway 13 just west of I-29 in Richland County early Monday morning. The state patrol says the driver of a car got stuck in snow along the shoulder of the highway. The driver of a pickup stopped and was starting to attach a tow rope to the car when another pickup approached.

A man was found dead in a crashed vehicle Sunday in Shades Creek off Interstate 65 in Homewood. Homewood police responded to I-65 southbound just south of Lakeshore Parkway near an apartment complex just after 1:30 p.m. A passerby made the discovery and called 911. Officers found a wrecked vehicle with one man inside. Sgt. John Carr said it appears the vehicle left I-65 and ended up in the creek. It wasn’t immediately clear when the crash happened, but investigators believe it took place hours before the vehicle and the victim were discovered.
