Man seriously injured after Ohio Turnpike crash, troopers say
MOCLOVA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVG) - A man is seriously injured after a crash on the Ohio Turnpike Sunday. Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash in Lucas County around 6:30 a.m. The car was heading eastbound on Interstate Route 80 when it exited the left side of the road and hit a guardrail, stopping the vehicle, troopers said. The 20-year-old passenger from Cleveland Heights then exited the vehicle, leaving it stopped in the roadway, officials said.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – A man is dead after a crash Friday morning on I-664 near the Bowers Hill Interchange in Chesapeake, according to Virginia State Police. On March 10, around 11:34 a.m. the driver of the tractor-trailer, Zion Redding of Indiana was parked on the right closed shoulder and was asleep. The driver of the other tractor-trailer, Ricky M. Batten, 59, of Norfolk was traveling eastbound on I-64 towards I-664 northbound when he ran off the road and hit the parked tractor-trailer from behind.

DENVER (KDVR) — Police are looking for a driver who was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run that injured one person while they were pushing a van on the shoulder of Interstate 25. According to the Denver Police Department, the hit-and-run occurred on Feb. 12 at 10:55 p.m. on southbound I-25 at 20th Avenue. DPD said two people were pushing a van on the right shoulder of the highway when they were struck by an unknown driver in a silver Porsche.

A multi-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Washington woman and left the highway shut down for hours, Tuesday afternoon on Interstate Highway 45 in Navarro County. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, four semi trucks with trailers were involved in a major accident around 2:20 p.m. March 7, about a mile south of FM 739 in Angus. Trooper M. Ochoa, of DPS Corsicana stated that the preliminary investigation indicated Leslie, Freeman Agyepong, female, 46, from Lacey, WA was driving a Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer traveling south on Interstate 45 and crashed into three other truck tractors towing semi-trailers, which were stopped due to an unrelated crash.

GARY, Ind. — A six-year-old girl is dead and two other children are seriously injured after a mail truck reportedly rear-ended a stopped car on Interstate 80 in northern Indiana early Wednesday. According to Indiana State Police, the accident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. when a Volvo semi truck pulling a trailer loaded with U.S. mail rear-ended a Nissan Altima near mile-marker 7.5 on I-80. State police said the Altima had been stopped in the right lane.

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A driver is in custody after troopers say he hit a tractor trailer in Okaloosa County. On early Wednesday morning, Florida Highway Patrol said a 49-year-old man was traveling west in a tractor trailer, in the outside lane of Interstate 10, near mile marker 67. Meanwhile, another tractor trailer was stopped ahead of the north shoulder. Officials say the driver of the second trailer had stepped away from his truck and was not inside it.

EMPORIA, Kan. (KAKE) - One semi driver was killed when his rig crashed into another that was parked on the shoulder of the Kansas Turnpike on Monday. The accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. on northbound I-35 near mile marker 121, which is southwest of Emporia. The Kansas Highway Patrol’s crash log says an International truck was parked on the right shoulder when a Peterbilt truck drifted onto the shoulder and hit the rear of the parked truck.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Hundreds of boxes of assorted frozen foods spilled on an Interstate 75 median after a semi-trailer truck overturned on the highway Tuesday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release. Around 5:45 a.m., the truck carrying frozen foods was traveling on I-75 in the right lane just before mile marker 232. At the same time, another semi-trailer was disabled and parked on the paved shoulder with a flat trailer tire, FHP said.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – A good Samaritan hit and killed on the I-610 North Loop on Monday night was out on the freeway to help another driver when he was fatally struck in a chain-reaction crash, Houston police said. The crash investigation blocked all westbound lanes of the North Loop just before Wallisville Road. Police originally reported the call as a major crash involving two cars at about 7:25 p.m. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
