One person found dead in submerged vehicle on flooded Sacramento County road
A person has been found dead inside a vehicle submerged in flood waters in south Sacramento County. Dan Quiggle, deputy fire chief for operations for Cosumnes Community Service District Fire Department, said crews found the person inside a vehicle around 10:30 a.m. Sunday along Dillard Road, near Highway 99. Emergency workers believe the individual was the same motorist they were searching for earlier in the morning. No details on the driver were made available.

The crash caused the doors to get stuck and not be opened. The officials responded to the crash and found one person stuck in the car.

The deadly episode unfolded when Thapa stopped his Toyota Camry behind a Nissan Sentra that had become disabled in the right lane, authorities said.

RICHMOND — One arrest was made and multiple people were injured Friday night after an individual driving under the influence caused a five-car crash on Interstate 295 near the Richmond exit, police said. The first crash happened at approximately 9:25 p.m. and ended in the arrest of 39-year-old Steven Trask of Topsham by Sagadahoc County Sheriff deputies on a charge of operating under the influence. Police said Trask showed signs of impaired driving when his vehicle crashed into a tractor trailer unit.

ARAPAHOE, CO, (December 28, 2022) - A 55-year-old man was tragically struck and killed in a hit-and-run accident involving a semi-truck on Dec. 28 in Arapahoe County. According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, the unidentified victim was standing next to a passenger van at about 11:30 a.m. on Digicomm Drive in the Dove Valley area when he was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer driven by 31-year-old Erick Mejia. FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne Police say a person pushing a car was struck by another vehicle on Ludwig Road Thursday night. He was taken to a hospital where he was listed with life threatening injuries. Just before 8 p.m., officers found a man lying near the road in the 2200 block of Ludwig. Paramedics arrived to provide medical attention. Witnesses on the scene stated that four men were attempting to push a disabled vehicle westbound on Ludwig in the roadway; three pushing the vehicle in the rear and one pushing near the driver’s door.
