Two Injured In Early Morning Interstate 24 Crash
A wreck on Interstate 24 in Christian County involving a tractor-trailer sent two people to the hospital Monday morning. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say an eastbound car hit the cable barriers while swerving to miss a deer. A tractor-trailer driver pulled off to the side of the road to assist in the crash and a truck pulling a trailer hit the stopped car and then the tractor-trailer. Two people from the car were treated at the scene by Hopkinsville EMS and then transported to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries.

TIMONIUM - A fiery crash on Interstate 83 in Timonium killed two people on Friday night, according to Maryland State Police. Police said troopers responded to reports of a crash on northbound I-83 near the Padonia exit around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday. Officers saw that the car was on fire and called the Baltimore County Fire Department. Baltimore County Fire Department Personnel said the white 2015 Kia Optima was completely engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene.

Fort Worth, Texas (February 4, 2023) – One person was killed and another person was injured in a crash late Thursday night in Fort Worth, police said. The deadly two-car crash occurred at around 11:45 p.m. Thursday, February 2, in the northbound lanes of Texas 360 near Texas 183. According to the police, a vehicle was traveling northbound on Texas 360 when it became disabled and stopped on the northbound right shoulder of the highway.

Just after 9:30 p.m. on February 3, 2023, Louisiana State Police Troop I responded to a three-vehicle crash on I-10 West near mile marker 108 between Breaux Bridge and Lafayette. The crash claimed the life of 71-year-old Bobby Ray Carver of Hueytown, Alabama. The initial investigation revealed a Nissan Frontier became disabled in the travel lane of I-10 west near mile marker 108 due to a previous crash. A westbound GMC Yukon struck the disabled Nissan and came to rest off of the roadway to the right.

A 51-year-old Ventura man suffered major injuries when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver while trying to help a stranded motorist along Highway 101 in Ventura early Saturday, authorities said. At around 2:34 a.m., the man was trying to help another driver whose disabled vehicle was partially stuck in the right lane of the southbound freeway north of the Victoria Avenue offramp, the California Highway Patrol reported. Another southbound vehicle struck the Ventura man and fled the scene, CHP officials said.

A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after someone crashed into him while he pushed his disabled car off of a Savannah road, according to police. Savannah Police Department released details of the serious injury crash on Friday, saying the crash happened Thursday night. A car driven by Kevin Deal, 21, reportedly broke down at the intersection of Eisenhower Drive and Noble Oaks Drive around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. A stranger stopped to help Deal move the disabled sedan out of the way of traffic, police said in a news release on Friday morning.

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating two separate fatality accidents that occurred late Thursday night. At 11:02pm, Fort Worth FD and PD along with MedStar EMS were dispatched to a crash on the northbound lanes of Highway 287 near Berry Street. Investigators say a vehicle had become disabled on the highway due to ice. A passing driver stopped to help the stranded driver push the vehicle from the highway to the shoulder.

JURUPA VALLEY (CNS) – One person was killed and another injured in Jurupa Valley Friday when they attempted to cross the Pomona (60) Freeway but were struck by a pickup during an insurance information exchange following an accident. The fatality occurred about 1:30 a.m. Friday on the westbound 60, just east of Valley Way, according to the California Highway Patrol. Sgt. Dean Corey told City News Service that the chain of events began when a big rig sideswiped a Mini Cooper, causing the smaller vehicle to collide with a Honda Civic.

The Knoxville Police Department is investigating two unrelated serious crashes, including one that was fatal, a department spokesperson said in a press release. Just after 6 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a multicar crash with injuries on Interstate 40 west near Cedar Bluff Road, the release stated. Police say a Ford pickup truck had broken down and the driver pulled off the road to the left-hand shoulder. It was struck by a Chevrolet pickup and that driver was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the release said.

An accident left a car completely submerged in a Central pond Wednesday night. The accident happened around 9:20 p.m. near the 13000 block of Lovett Road on Feb. 1st. Officials say the vehicle was recovered early Thursday morning to ensure the safety of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Dive Team. Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran said the driver of the submerged vehicle lost control and drifted into the water. The driver had a medical condition and a good samaritan stopped to help.
