Lancaster: Deadly Pedestrian Accident at Avenue J and 200th Street East
Lancaster, CA (February 1, 2023) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred in the area of Avenue J and 200th Street East Tuesday, January 31. The Antelope Valley Times News reported a 68-year-old woman was standing in front of her 2004 Toyota. According to the article published online, the Toyota had stopped for and unknown reason and the woman stepped out of her car. Officials said the disabled Toyota was partially blocking the eastbound and westbound traffic lanes of Avenue J at 200th Street East.

MARTINEZ – The California Highway Patrol said a fatal crash on state Highway 4 near Martinez early Wednesday morning involved three vehicles and started when a Ford hatchback with a solo driver struck the center divider. The Ford was traveling west around 4:15 a.m. when it hit the divider east of Pine Street, disabling the Ford in traffic lanes. A Lexus SUV with one occupant traveling the same direction collided with the Ford.

Officials with the California Highway Patrol said the crash occurred east of Indio along the 10 Freeway near Hayfield Road at around 4:15 a.m. For reasons which are not yet clear, an initial collision occurred involving an SUV crashing into the rear portion of a big rig.

ANGELICA, N.Y. — New York State troopers are investigating another crash on I-86 in Allegany County. On Monday, a car traveling west in the Town of Angelica was hit by a tractor trailer after the driver of the car lost control, according to an investigation by state troopers. The car spun multiple times, hit the guide rails on both sides of the I-86. After the car came to a stop on the left side of the interstate, it was hit by a tractor trailer heading west.

Ellicott, NY — January 28, 2023, Matthew Berry and Todd Town died in a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 86 in the town of Ellicott. Authorities say the incident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on westbound I-86 near Strunk Road. Preliminary investigation suggests Berry was allegedly driving a Toyota Camry east in the westbound lanes, against traffic, when he collided with an oncoming Ram 1500 pickup driven by Todd Town. After the initial impact the Ram was hit from behind by a Freightliner semi-truck.

VAN HORN, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Several wrecked vehicles along Interstate 10 along the eastbound lanes have blocked traffic east of Van Horn Tuesday morning. A viewer shared photos of a crash that resulted in a pile-up along I-10 East near the I-10/I-20 split. The photos show that semitrailers were involved in the crash. The crash reportedly happened around 7:11 a.m. Texas Department of Transportation has closed all eastbound lanes in the area.

One person is dead after a crash involving 10 vehicles in south Austin early Tuesday morning. Austin-Travis County EMS and the Austin Fire Department responded to the scene on West Ben White Boulevard near the intersection of South Congress Avenue just after 6 a.m. ATCEMS said no one else was injured or transported in the incident. Drivers involved in ice-related crashes are advised to stay in their vehicles until first responders arrive.

On Jan. 24, Oscar Orlando Acosta-Manzano, 53, of Carson City was killed after being struck by another vehicle on southbound I-580 in Washoe Valley and died at the scene. At around 6:16 p.m., Acosta-Manzano was standing near his disabled vehicle, a white Nissan Frontier, near mile marker 13, when he was struck by a red Chevrolet Colorado which drifted onto the right shoulder. The Nevada State Police are investigating the crash.

CHELSEA (WWJ) – Four people have been hospitalized after a semi truck jackknifed and caused a multi-vehicle crash on I-94 in Washtenaw County Monday morning. WWJ Traffic’s KT first reported on a major collision closing westbound I-94 at mile marker 153, just after Jackson Rd in Chelsea, at approximately 5 a.m. Michigan State Police responded to the pile-up and Tweeted an update at 7 a.m., saying troopers were working the crash site and advising drivers to avoid the area.

San Diego, CA (January 29, 2023) – A traffic accident occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway on January 24, Tuesday. The 911 News reported a woman was behind the wheel of a vehicle heading south on the freeway in San Diego. When the car approached the area north of Old Town Avenue, the female driver was startled by a passing motorcyclist. Officials said the woman apparently lost control of her car and veered towards the direction of the center divider.
