Pedestrian struck, killed in Concord Township crash
CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – A pedestrian was struck and killed after a crash in Concord Township, Delaware County. It happened around 4 a.m. Sunday on Route 202 between Johnson Farm Lane and Watkin Avenue. Pennsylvania State Police say the crash happened after a pedestrian exited their disabled vehicle on the shoulder of Route 202. The pedestrian stepped out into the right lane of traffic on Route 202 southbound. While the pedestrian was standing in the traffic lane, a passing vehicle struck them.

A 38-year-old man from Orlando is dead after colliding into the front of a 2012 Honda Odyssey in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at 3:42 a.m. Saturday on State Road 417 south of University Blvd., and left the drivers of two other vehicles injured. The Orlando man, who was driving a 2004 Ford Mustang, was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes. After the initial impact into the van, which was driven by a 40-year-old man from Palatka, the Ford Mustang rotated and came to final rest outside of State Road 417.

On Friday at approximately 1 am, members of the State Police, Providence Police, Providence Fire and Rescue, Amtrack Police, Department of Environmental Management, and Department of Transportation responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 North, north of the Route 10 overpass in Providence. According to the State Police, a tractor-trailer truck struck a disabled motor vehicle in the high-speed lane, which then caused it to a rollover blocking the two right lanes of the highway.

BALTIMORE – A 23-year-old man from Severn was killed and three people were injured Thursday night in a multiple-vehicle crash in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County police said. Officers responded around 7:30 p.m. to westbound route 100 at southbound I-97 for the crash. Investigators believe a man driving a Honda Accord west on Route 100 lost control and struck a traffic barrier, and a Toyota Corolla behind him swerved to avoid hitting the Honda and struck a concrete barrier on the opposite side of the roadway, police said.

DENISON, Texas (KXII) - A pedestrian hit and killed by a car Friday morning on Spur 503 in Denison has been identified. The Denison Police Department said 40-year-old Adam Ailand was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a vehicle. Officers were able to determine Ailand stopped his vehicle to retrieve items from the roadway, when he was struck by another vehicle, according to a press release. The crash happened on Southbound Spur 503 between Vine Lane and South College Boulevard just after 9 a.

A woman whose car was broken down in a travel lane on the New Jersey Turnpike was struck and killed early Friday morning by a tractor-trailer. State Police Sgt. Alejandro Goez said the tractor-trailer, a tanker truck and a bobtail were traveling north in the outer lanes north of Exit 13 around 2:20 a.m. and came upon a disabled Hyundai Elantra in a travel lane. The tractor-trailer struck the Elantra, which then hit the other two trucks.

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A woman was killed Thursday while trying to cross I-96 on foot after her vehicle was stopped on the shoulder of the freeway, police said. The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 15) on I-96 near Beech Daly in Redford Township. A 50-year-old woman tried to cross the freeway after her vehicle stopped on the shoulder, according to Redford Township police. They did not say what caused her vehicle to stop.

LONG ISLAND (PIX11) — A hit-and-run driver stopped to check his vehicle’s damage after he allegedly struck and killed a 61-year-old man on the Long Island Expressway last week, police said. Robert Twiford had parked his car on the offramp at exit 60 on the eastbound Long Island Expressway and got out of the car when he was struck on Dec. 5 at around 8 p.m., police said. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), Ruck was standing next to his Honda CRV at about 12:51 a.m. when it was struck by a Ford F-150 driven by a 48-year-old man. The door of the CRV then hit Ruck, 73, who was transported to Mercy Hospital South for treatment of his injuries.
