Troopers Say Driver Slams into Disable Semi and Other Vehicle on I-88 Near Rock Falls Resulting in Fiery Crash
Just after 7:00 pm on Thursday, Decmber 8, District 1 Troopers responded to a vehicle crash on I-88 in Whiteside County. Troopers say 42-year-old Jerry O. Ansong of South Chicago Heights, was traveling on I-88, left the lane of traffic and struck a disabled Peterbilt with semi-trailer on the shoulder occupied by 56-year-old Gene L Graber of Wellman, IA. The Graber vehicle then subsequently struck a Ford roadside service truck occupied by 35-year-old William S.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Two fatal multi-vehicle crashes claimed the lives of two people Wednesday morning in Harford County. At about 6:45 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police JFK Memorial Highway Barrack responded to a report of a five-vehicle crash at Interstate-95 North at MD Route 543 in Belcamp. According to a preliminary investigation by the Maryland State Police, a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling north on I-95 in the left lane, when it crossed over the solid yellow line of the left shoulder and struck two tractor-trailers.

On Dec. 4 at approximately 3:25 a.m., a female was involved in an accident that disabled her vehicle. While she was outside of her vehicle, she was struck and killed on 183 westbound at the 360 southbound ramp. An unidentified vehicle, described by witnesses as possibly being a newer white Ford Mustang with blue or dark colored racing stripes, struck the female and fled the scene without rendering aid to her.

A truck driver’s dash cam captured a multi-vehicle crash involving a tanker truck driver hauling crude oil that happened in Draper, Utah, on Wednesday. The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on December 7 on northbound I-15 in Draper. According to the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), a semi truck jackknifed near 14200 South and became disabled in the right lanes of I-15. A car moved over to avoid the jackknifed semi, but was then struck by a pickup “traveling at a significantly higher speed.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Two remembrances will be held in honor of an Oldham County teenager who died after being hit by a semitruck. Ayden F. Altman, 17, was hit by a semitruck on Interstate 71 southbound between mile markers 22 and 23 near La Grange. Police said the La Grange teenager and a passenger got out of a car and were in the median when a truck swerved into the median to miss the car.

WEDNESDAY NEWS HIT - A 9-year-old boy died in a crash on the Southfield Freeway Tuesday night after the vehicle he was riding in was rear-ended by a box truck. He wasn’t wearing a seatbelt when the vehicle was struck. According to Michigan State Police, the fatal crash happened after the passenger vehicle that was struck was driving on the freeway with a blown-out tire. The vehicle was traveling southbound and was trying to make it to the Eight Mile exit on M-39 at speeds of around 10 mph.
