Car sitting in slow lane of I-5 near Westley hit by big rig. Tracy driver dead at scene
A Tracy man whose car was sitting in the slow lane of Interstate 5 near Westley when it was hit by a big rig early Thursday was found dead in the driver seat. The incident occurred during the 1 a.m. hour in the southbound lanes near the Ingram Creek Road exit, according to the California Highway Patrol. At 1:15 a.m., a passerby reported to CHP that a Lexus was sitting in the slow lane.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Human remains that were found in a wrecked car in Georgia are believed to be those of a nurse from South Carolina who was on her way to Birmingham last month but never made it, according to police. Shauna Brown, a nurse who worked at Prisma Baptist Health in Columbia, South Carolina, was last seen July 10 after she had left home to go to Samford University to do clinical work.

Dallas, TX – July 3, 2022, Jose Mayolo Hernandez and another person were injured due to an accident where a car hit a disabled vehicle. Investigators reported that the crash took place at around 1:44 p.m. along Brookgreen Drive near Esperanza Road. In reports, authorities said that a pickup and a disabled car were stopped along eastbound Brookgreen. A man was outside the car changing its tire. While there, reports say a Ford F-250 driven by 56-year-old Jose Mayolo Hernandez somehow hit the parked pickup, also hitting the man next to the car.

Accident scene on I-269 near Malone Road on Wednesday, Aug. 3. (MDOTTraffic.com photo) A portion of I-269 in DeSoto County was shut down or restricted to one lane early Wednesday as a result of a crash between the semi-trailer truck and a disabled vehicle. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the crash took place about 12:10 a.m. near the Malone Road exit. A 2009 Peterbilt truck driven by Christopher L. Terry, age 51 of Vega, Texas, collided with a disabled 2007 Buick vehicle driven by Savannah D.

RIDGEFIELD, NJ, (August 01, 2022) - Authorities have identified a Florida man as the victim of a deadly four-vehicle crash Monday morning on the New Jersey Turnpike in Bergen County. According to New Jersey State Police, the collision occurred around 11:39 a.m. in the northbound lanes to Interstate-80 at milepost 117.8 in Ridgefield Park. Ralph McGillan, 85, of Fort Myers, Fla., was killed in the wreck, while four people suffered varying degrees of injuries.

A Miami man died and another is seriously injured after someone driving a car hit the two — and kept going — as they attempted to refill a truck’s gas tank on Interstate 95 in Broward County early Sunday morning, according to authorities. A box truck was going southbound near Hallandale Beach Boulevard when it ran out of gas and parked on the right shoulder, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

A 63-year-old man was killed early Sunday in a crash on Interstate 440 in Pulaski County, troopers said. According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Michael Grice of Cabot was traveling east on I-440 when his pickup became disabled in the middle lane. At about 3:05 a.m., authorities said that a 2022 Kenworth truck struck the rear of Grice’s 2014 GMC Sierra, causing his vehicle to rotate and hit the concrete barrier.

WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. - A semi driver suffered minor injuries following a wreck on I-43 near Elkhorn on Monday morning, Aug. 1. The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office said around 7:45 a.m., a semi traveling north on I-43 crashed into a disabled vehicle on the shoulder – one that had been tagged by a deputy the night before and was empty. Officials say the semi hit the vehicle, took out a guardrail, ran across the side rail of the bridge, and came to rest on the east side of the road.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike crash that killed a New Jersey man happened when a southbound tractor-trailer went off the right side of the road, then jackknifed and crashed through the concrete barrier into the northbound lanes, state police said. Harry Jackson III, 32, of Brigantine was pronounced dead at the scene of the Friday evening crash on the Northeast Extension in Franklin Township, Carbon County, several miles north of Mahoning Valley Exit 74.

WOLF CREEK TOWNSHIP — One person was killed in a crash at 4:44 a.m. Sunday morning on Interstate 80 West in Wolf Creek Township. In a press release, state police said Daniel Lee Leinen, 23, Sterling Heights, Mich., was outside his vehicle changing a tire when a semi-truck headed west in the right lane hit the front passenger side of Leinen’s vehicle. Leinen was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force injuries to the head and chest, according to Mercer County Coroner John A.
