Florida man killed in two-vehicle Toll Road crash
SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. – Officials are currently investigating a two-vehicle fatal Toll Road crash that claimed the life of a Florida man around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to Indiana State Police. Troopers were dispatched to the reported collision on I-90 near mile-marker 111.2 and located the rear-end collision between a passenger car and a transport van. Upon arriving on the scene, troopers discovered an injured man unresponsive on the roadway, and while LaGrange County EMS attempted lifesaving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 38-year-old Bakersfield man died over the weekend in Fresno County after his vehicle left the road and slammed into a large rock. According to the California Highway Patrol, a resident spotted a wrecked 2013 Acura ILX just before noon Sunday along Highway 180, west of Silver Lane, near Squaw Valley. CHP spokesperson Mike Salas said investigators believe the man was heading east on Highway 180 on Saturday night when his vehicle missed a curve in the road and slid across the gravel shoulder before crashing into a large rock and overturning into a creek bed.

CHARLESTOWN — On October 20, 2022, a 20-year man from North Walpole, New Hampshire was announced dead at the scene of an accident on Bellows Falls Road in Charlestown. At roughly 8:30 PM on Thursday evening, the Charlestown Police Department responded to a call regarding a pedestrian that had been struck by a car on Route 12. It was determined by the investigating police departments that a group of three people, including the young man who perished in the accident, were traveling on Bellow Falls Road when their vehicle struck a bear.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Two people were killed in separate pre-dawn highway accidents, New Orleans police said Saturday (Oct. 22). The first fatal wreck occurred around 12:12 a.m. on the westbound Pontchartrain Expressway (US 90B) at the Claiborne Avenue exit. Police said responding officers found a taxi cab had crashed into the left-side guard rail. The 44-year-old man driving the cab was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will determine whether the driver died in the crash, or from a medical emergency that preceded the wreck.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The northbound side of the Buckman Bridge was shut down for hours during Friday morning’s rush hour because of a fiery crash involving two tractor-trailers and a box truck. FHP said the child was inside a disabled SUV on the right shoulder before she got out of the vehicle and wandered onto the roadway where she was hit by a car.

A woman from Statesville who had been reported missing was found deceased Wednesday in a wrecked 2003 Lexus RX300 SUV in the Brushy Mountain community, said Trooper Zach Jennings of the N.C. Highway Patrol. Emergency personnel found the body of Barbara Houser Bellamy, 74, in the driver’s seat of the overturned Lexus after the Wilkes Communications Center received a call at 10:32 a.m. about a vehicle being seen wrecked down an embankment along Brushy Mountain Road, with a person inside.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Authorities on Thursday released the name of the driver killed in the second crash on Interstate 5 in Linn County near Albany. Oregon State Police said 63-year-old Kirpal Singh of Yuba City, Calif. was driving southbound in a semi-truck when he allegedly hit another semi-truck that was stopped for an earlier crash. Police said the truck driven by Singh caught fire and caused a chain reaction rear-ending which involved a Nissan Armada and a Ford Focus.
