All mainlanes open after multiple vehicle crash on US-59 Eastex Fwy at Rankin Rd southbound
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – A multiple vehicle crash on the US-59 Eastex Freeway that sparked a complete road closure at the Rankin Road exit has now been cleared. The crash happened at about 9 a.m. on Sunday on the southbound lanes at 16837 North US-59 at Rankin, HPD said. Two vehicles involved were said to be a gray Ford F-150 and a white Sedan. According to reports, an 18-wheeler hit two stalled vehicles on the freeway.

A man was killed while trying to push his disabled vehicle to the shoulder of the northbound 405 Freeway in Irvine following a crash Saturday morning, Aug. 13, authorities said. The California Highway Patrol received reports of a crash involving three to four vehicles along the freeway near Jeffrey Road just past 5:30 a.m., spokesman Officer Anselmo Templado said. Officers found the man lying in the roadway in the two middle northbound lanes, Templado said.

Grimes County, TX — August 10, 2022, 70-year-old Jimmie Williams died in a three-vehicle crash on State Highway 105 in Grimes County. Reports say the incident happened around 1:00 p.m. on Hwy 105 at County Road 417, east of Navasota. Preliminary investigation suggests Williams was driving a Chevrolet Equinox west when he lost control for unknown reasons. The Chevy crossed left of center and spun, then came to rest facing north in the eastbound lane.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On Thursday, the New Orleans Police Department began investigating a fatal car accident on I-10 East on the Twin Span Bridge. According to police, the accident happened near mile marker 257 heading towards Slidell. Police were notified of the crash around 2:30 a.m. Through investigation, the NOPD was able to determine that a disabled vehicle was located in one of the eastbound travel lanes when the driver of another vehicle came from behind and struck the disabled vehicle.

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday morning near 51st Avenue and Encanto Boulevard. Officers responded to the scene around 5:40 a.m. for reports of a crash involving a vehicle and an adult pedestrian, according to a statement from Sgt. Melissa Soliz, a spokesperson with Phoenix police. They were investigating what led to the collision and how many vehicles were involved. The pedestrian, identified as 30-year-old Alberta Lavetta Cons, died from her injuries police said Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities said that the crash began after a Honda Accord somehow hit an abandoned Toyota 4Runner on southbound lanes. An 18-wheeler then veered off-road where it hit a tree and caught fire.

Four people were hurt after a pile-up crash involving 10 passenger vehicles and a semi truck in Indiana on Sunday afternoon. The accident happened on August 7th on Interstate 69 near Anderson, Indiana. An oncoming tractor trailer then failed to slow for the stopped traffic and struck multiple stopped cars, pushing them into a nearby median.

Maryland State Police say that an unknown vehicle struck a bridge on MD 75 that’s over I-70 westbound. The impact caused concrete and metal from the bridge to fall onto I-70.
