Boy in serious condition after car struck in breakdown lane in Wilton
A six-year-old boy has been seriously injured after the car he was in was hit by a utility vehicle in the breakdown lane at Wilton. Emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of the Hume Highway near the Picton Road interchange about 12.45pm. Police were told a white Nissan Navara driven by a 47-year-old man with three passengers - a 30-year-old woman, six-year-old boy and a 10-month-old boy - was stopped in the break down lane when it was allegedly struck from behind by a white Great Wall utility driven by a 26-year-old man.

JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. — An Indianapolis man is dead after a rear-end collision with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 65 in Jackson County, Indiana. Jacob T. Peelman, 19, of Indianapolis, was traveling southbound on I-65 in a 2004 Mitsubishi at approximately 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning, according to authorities. Peelman’s vehicle traveled from the southbound lanes of I-65 onto the southbound exit ramp to enter State Road 11. Peelman’s vehicle continued onto the right shoulder of the exit ramp.

Mount Pleasant, TX – June 28, 2022, two people were injured in an accident where two commercial trucks crashed on I-30. Officials said that the crash took place at around 7:49 p.m. along I-30 near Lakewood Drive. Investigations said that a 34-year-old Hopkinsville, Kentucky was in a Volvo truck traveling westbound on I-30. Ahead, a 61-year-old Antioch, Tennessee man was in a stationary truck that was disabled, reportedly without emergency lights or visibility markers.

Mahwah, NJ (July 21, 2022) – A driver was hit by his own car during an overnight rear-end crash on Route 287 on Thursday, July 21st. According to sources, the adult male victim was in a disabled Chevy Camaro that was stopped on the southbound side of the roadway near milepost 63.6 in Mahwah at about 2:30 a.m. when it was struck from behind by a Kenworth dump truck. The impact caused the victim to be hit by his own vehicle as it left the roadway and slammed into a tree.

MARIPOSA, Calif. (FOX26) — A woman who crashed down an embankment is lucky to be alive after people stumbled upon her wrecked vehicle Thursday morning. The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office says the woman crashed near the Merced River near the town of Bagby in Merced County. Her vehicle went down the embankment between 200 and 250 feet around 2:00 a.m. Later Thursday morning, a group doing research in a creek that runs into the Merced River came across a vehicle that had gone over the embankment with someone still inside.

A woman was struck by at least one car and killed after her own ride broke down on a Bronx expressway early Wednesday, cops said. Shannon Campbell, 27, was riding as a passenger inside a vehicle when it became disabled and stopped within the painted median which separates the left lane from the center and right lanes of the eastbound Bruckner Expressway just before 3 a.m., authorities said. She got out of the broken-down car and walked into the right lane of the expressway, near Barretto Street, when she was struck by a 2019 Toyota Camry driven by a 61-year-old man, cops said.

A 49-year-old Mechanicsville woman died Tuesday when her car that was stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 95 near the Lewistown Road exit was hit by a sport utility vehicle. Virginia State Police said in a statement the driver of a 2015 GMC Terrain SUV, Levi E. Braxton III, 70, of Saluda, was traveling northbound “at a high rate of speed” and drove onto the right shoulder to pass another motorist.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – One person was killed when a SUV rear-ended a semi on Interstate 469 early Monday morning. The crash happened at 1:21 a.m. in the southbound lanes at mile-marker 14.6, near the Tillman Road interchange. A semi-tractor trailer was broken down on the shoulder of the road and being worked on when an SUV veered onto the shoulder for unknown reasons, Allen County Sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. Adam Griffith said.

Police responded to a pair of crashes Monday afternoon on Highway 16 near Reptile Gardens. This one was on the hill just north of Reptile Gardens on Highway 16. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a Hyundai Santa Fe that had run out of gas was stopped in the driving lane when it was rear ended by a Suzuki motorcycle. The motorcycle ended up partially underneath the car.. The Patrol says the 20-year old man riding the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.

A MOTORIST died on the M1 near Rugby this morning (Monday July 18) when he was hit by a car after his vehicle broke down. At around 3.20am, a silver Toyota Previa collided with the rear of a stationary grey Mercedes in lane one of the M1 southbound, between Junction 17 and Watford Gap Services. The driver of the Mercedes – a man in his 40s from Bedfordshire – was standing at the rear of the vehicle.
