Man killed in crash after vehicle stalls in main lane of Eastex Freeway
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) – The driver of a car stalled on the Eastex Freeway overnight was killed when his car was struck. Officials received a 911 call about a stranded white Jaguar disabled in a moving lane in the 10900 block of the I-69 Eastex Freeway northbound near Little York around 1 a.m. Friday. About five minutes later, another call came in reporting a major crash at the same location.

TOWNSHIP OF CENTERVILLE, Wis. — A Sheboygan woman is killed in a crash in Manitowoc County. Sheriff’s officials say the 88-year-old rear-ended a flatbed truck on the shoulder of Interstate 43 at Highway XX in the township of Centerville around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday. The truck had warning devices in place and was unoccupied. The woman died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

A man is fighting for his life after his broken down car was hit by a lorry. The 36-year-old was seriously injured when his vehicle was struck on the Black Country New Road, West Bromwich, just after 6pm on Wednesday. West Midlands Police said it’s understood the driver was out of the car, which had its bonnet up, at the time of the crash. Officers are now appealing for information as they investigate the circumstances of the crash.

Law enforcement officials said Wednesday that the human remains found near Oregon Creek in the Camptonville area of Yuba County could belong to a man who has been missing since at least May. On Sunday, the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call for service from hikers who had located human remains in a steep and remote area near Oregon Creek. Deputies and detectives responded to the call and recovered the remains, as well as additional personal belongings.

Port Huron Township — Two people are dead after a bicyclist was struck by a car Tuesday night, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies were called at about 10:30 p.m. to the 3700 block of Dove Road near Michigan Road for a report of a crash involving a bicyclist, according to authorities. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 30-year-old Marysville man called 911 to report he had just struck a bicyclist.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Utah Highway Patrol is reminding all drivers to pull over to the right shoulder when experiencing car problems. UHP posted photos from a crash that began with a flat tire on their Facebook page. Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened on I-15 in Davis County on Tuesday. According to troopers, the car was hit after the driver pulled onto the narrow left shoulder and partially blocked the HOV lane.

Cumbria Police say 93-year-old Jack Buckingham had broken down when he got out of his vehicle and crossed the dual carriageway stretch at Baron’s Hill, near the village of Stainton. While crossing the road he was hit by a Skoda Fabia at just after 11am on 5 August.

ADAMSVILLE, AL, (August 29, 2022) - Sara L. Littleton, 24, of Oakman, sustained fatal injuries early Monday morning following a tragic three-vehicle crash near Adamsville, Jefferson County. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Littleton was driving a 1996 Chevrolet S-10 on I-22 near the 83-mile marker, approximately two miles west of Adamsville, when it became disabled and was struck by a 2018 Dodge Ram just after 5:15 a.m. The Chevrolet was then hit by a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer shortly after the initial collision.

Buna, TX — August 29, 2022, 23-year-old Marvin Willey was injured in a collision with a stopped 18-wheeler on U.S. Highway 96 near Buna. According to reports the incident happened Monday afternoon along northbound US-96. Preliminary investigation suggests Willey was driving north in a Dodge pickup truck when he lost control for unknown reasons. The pickup ran onto the shoulder and hit the back-left corner of a parked Freightliner 18-wheeler’s trailer.

Officials said a tractor-trailer lost its cargo after it lost control and hit another car. Then it slammed into the center median, spilling its load. Tomatoes covered the roadway, causing a major road hazard. One car got stuck in the spill, which led to a chain reaction of crashes involving four vehicles.
