Fabian Zamora, Carolina Navarette de Lear Killed in Truck Accident in Palm Desert, CA
Update (February 6, 2025): Authorities have identified the two people killed in this crash as Fabian Zamora, 31, and Carolina Navarette de Lear, 49. Zamora was the repair truck driver, while de Lear was driving the Toyota. Palm Desert, CA — February 4, 2025, two people were killed in a truck accident at about 1 p.m. on Interstate 10/Sono Bono Memorial Freeway. The Toyota driver and the repair truck driver, who was a pedestrian at the time of the crash, died at the scene, according to authorities.

Nashville, Tenn. (WZTV) — A crash involving a semi-truck has closed several lanes of I-40 W at mile marker 202 in West Nashville. Metro Communications confirmed that three people were taken for treatment from the scene of the crash. No word on the extent of injuries. TDOT says that the crash happened just after midnight on Friday morning. A semi-truck struck a disabled vehicle before hitting the median and gantry. Officials say that the semi was hauling 40,000 pounds of car parts.

LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. — Three people were killed and one person survived after a multi-vehicle crash along Highway 395 near Waldron Lane in Lassen County Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers say around 5:40 a.m., a 46-year-old woman from Susanville was driving a 2014 Dodge southbound when she unsafely passed another driver without enough clearance for the northbound traffic. Both the 46-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man from Janesville, who was driving a 2022 Toyota northbound, ended up going off the road and onto the east shoulder of Highway 395 to avoid hitting each other.

Authorities said a 2018 Freightliner semi-truck was parked on the right side of the highway when it was hit by a 2025 International box truck. The driver was stepping out of the stopped truck at the time of the crash. Freightliner driver Lewis Johnson, 45, died at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
