Union Township, PA — June 29, 2022, 59-year-old Amy Freeman was killed in a collision with two tractor-trailers on Interstate 80 in Union Township. According to reports the incident happened around 3:40 p.m. on I-80 near mile marker 107. Preliminary investigation suggests a westbound International 18-wheeler had a mechanical issue while traveling on the highway. Its driver tried to pull onto the south side of the road but stopped, partially disabled, in the left travel lane.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A nine-year-old child died overnight in a wreck on Interstate 65 near Rosa Parks. At least five cars were involved. A preliminary investigation from Metro Nashville Police shows a 2003 Honda Civic was traveling north on I-65 around 12:30 a.m. when it sideswiped a 2018 GMC Sierra. Police say the occupants of the Civic, a 28-year-old driver with two children ages 8 and 9, exited the vehicle following the collision and sat on the center concrete median wall.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a disabled vehicle early Sunday morning in Canoe, Alabama, east of Atmore. A 2013 Dodge Ram pickup driven by 77-year old Jimmy E. Barnes of Panama City struck a vehicle that was broken down on the shoulder of Highway 31 near South Canoe Road. Alabama State Troopers said the force of the collision pushed the disabled vehicle into 77-year old Ray L. Singleton of Fort Deposit, Alabama, as he stood nearby.

PORT TOWNSEND — A Port Angeles woman was treated and discharged from Jefferson Healthcare hospital in Port Townsend after she hit the rear of a car that had stopped for a deer crossing state Highway 20. Sara E. Moss, 44, was traveling behind Joshua D. Thomas, 33, of Brinnon westbound at Eaglemount Road when he stopped for a deer at about 10:50 a.m. Saturday, the State Patrol said. Moss did not stop and hit his vehicle from behind, troopers said.

The driver of a Ford Explorer was traveling westbound when she pulled over in the emergency lane due to a tire malfunction. The passenger exited the vehicle to attempt to fix the tire.

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating why a woman veered off the highway and was killed in Visalia. The crash happened on Highway 198 at Mooney Boulevard just after 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. Officers say the woman’s Toyota Corolla slammed into the back of a Caltrans truck, which was parked on the shoulder. She died at the scene. Part of the highway was shut down as crews worked to clear the roadway.

A woman who died in a single-car crash on Interstate 265 has been identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as a Louisville resident who was reported missing last week. Taylor Raye Fegett, 28, was found by officers in a car at the seven-mile marker on the Gene Snyder Freeway about 8:30 p.m. Monday, the coroner’s office said. Fegett was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which was traveling northbound before driving off the road and rolling over into a wooded area, LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.

A commmuter bus with over 20 passengers inside collided with a semi-truck near LAX on Monday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. NewsChopper4 was over the scene of the crash, where the bus could be seen on its side in the middle of the road. The LAFD and the El Segundo fire and police departments responded to the crash, which took place at 8:25 a.m. at 2310 East Imperial Highway, near Aviation Boulevard.

According to officers, the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Route 222 at mile marker 42. A car traveling southbound struck the back end of a tractor-trailer that stopped on the berm of the highway. During an investigation, evidence at the scene suggested that the car was traveling at highway speed when the impact occurred.
