Good Samaritan From Nassau Assisting Motorists After Crash Struck By Van
A Good Samaritan from Long Island assisting two motorists on the New York State Thruway was hospitalized in serious condition after being struck by a passing van in the Hudson Valley. New York State Police troopers in Westchester County responded to a reported crash involving a man at approximately 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20 on I-87 in Greenburgh. Police said that the man - later identified as Nassau County resident Michael McCutchan, age 61, of Westbury, stopped to assist two motorists who were involved in a property damage crash in the northbound center lane on the new Tappan Zee Bridge.

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Shippenville woman was identified as the victim of a fatal crash that occurred in Cranberry Township on Tuesday morning. According to Franklin-based State Police, the accident happened around 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, on Bredinsburg Road, at its intersection with Big Egypt Road, in Cranberry Township, Venango County. Police say 21-year-old Kyle W. Greenlee, of Seneca, was operating a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado traveling west on Bredinsburg Road, when he struck a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by 47-year-old Julie M.

A newlywed couple from Tennessee was killed when a truck mowed them down on the highway after their own vehicle was involved in a separate collision, authorities said. Jessiah Plemons, 31, and Lillian Rose, 25, had only been married for two days when they were killed along with Madison Davis, 23, as they were waiting outside their disabled pickup truck early Sunday on Interstate 40 in Knoxville, news station WATE reported.

Two people were seriously injured and two were moderately hurt in a Kearny crash Tuesday morning, authorities said. A 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer struck a disabled tractor trailer just after 4 a.m. near Route 7 and Harrison Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The 21-year-old driver, a Garfield man, and a second rear passenger, a 20-year-old male, are listed in stable condition. A 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries, Suarez said.

EL RENO, Okla. — A 56-year-old Texas man died after a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 40 in El Reno, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report. The report says that a 2013 Volvo was parked on the north shoulder of I-40 when a westbound-traveling 2010 Toyota Prius left the road to the right for an unknown reason and struck the back of the Volvo around 5:15 a.m. The man driving the Prius was pinned inside the vehicle under the Volvo for about two hours before El Reno Fire Department crews could extricate him.

PRACHIN BURI: A male baby elephant was hit and killed in a multiple-vehicle crash on a road through a forest in Sri Maha Phot district early on Monday evening, according to local police. The elephant, around one to two years old, was believed to have strayed from its herd in the nearby Khao Ang Rue Nai national reserve. Pol Lt Kittipong Seebut, deputy chief inspector at Rabao Phai police station, said the elephant apparently died after being rammed by a vehicle.

COLUMBUS – Early Monday morning, a motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle after striking a deer on I-65 Northbound near the 62-mile marker in southern Bartholomew County. The motorcyclist was killed and a “good samaritan” was seriously injured when they were struck by a second vehicle. The initial investigation Indiana State Police indicated that shortly before 2:00 a.m., a 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was being driven by 34-year-old Marcus Grayson, of Indianapolis, struck a deer while traveling north on I-65 near the 62-mile marker.

A wreck on the Loop 101 left one individual dead and two vehicles in flames, according to the Department of Public Safety. SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A multi-vehicle collision on eastbound State Route 101 in Scottsdale killed a woman who stopped to help, according to the Department of Public Safety. On Sunday at 6 p.m., a motorcyclist fell off his bike near milepost 35 came to rest in the HOV lane. Two vehicles stopped to help, blocking the lane, according to officials.

UNION CO. – Early Monday morning, two Union County Highway Department workers were struck while working along a rural Union County roadway. The Indiana State Police responded to the area of Clifton Road west of US 27 to investigate a single-vehicle crash in which a Brookville man was killed, and a Liberty man was seriously injured. The initial investigation by Master Trooper Paul Harrison revealed two Union County Highway Department employees were outside of their vehicle working along Clifton Road.

ELLIS COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Sunday in Ellis County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Peterbilt semi driven by Terry J. Fox, 59, Brookfield, Ohio., was westbound on Interstate 70 near Walker Avenue. The vehicle struck a 2004 Freightliner semi that was disabled on the north shoulder of the interstate. The semi came to rest on the I-70 overpass over Old U.S. 40 and caught fire.
