Hit-and-run victim’s mother begs for suspect to come forward
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – More than three weeks after Karina Williams was killed while checking her flat tire on the Post Oak exit ramp of West loop 610, her mother has a message for all drivers. “If you have a flat tire, or if you have an accident, if you need to pull over, don’t get out of your car,” Maria Huff said. “Drive to a safe place, that’s the best thing to do.

A two-vehicle crash killed one on Saturday morning on Interstate 35 west of Northwood. Just before 7 a.m. on Saturday, 21-year-old Tristen Brevik, of Hanover, Minnesota, was northbound in a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander on Interstate 35, a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol said. At the 218 mile marker on the interstate, just west of Northwood and near Diamond Jo Casino, for unknown reasons, Brevik’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a 2015 Freightliner semi truck which was parked on the right shoulder.

According to Kansas Highway Patrol, they were called to the scene near 635 and Speaker Rd around 3 a.m. after a car traveling northbound lost control, hit the median and became disabled in the middle lane. A second car then hit the first car. Two other vehicles then hit the second car. One fatality was reported with this accident.

JEFFERSON TWP. — Two people have been injured in a crash in Montgomery County. According to regional dispatch records, the crash happened near the intersection of Germantown Pike and Manning Road in Jefferson Twp. The crash was reported at 7:50 p.m.According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, an initial investigation revealed that a vehicle heading south of Germantown Pike pulled to the side of the road with a flat tire. While the driver was trying to change the tire, she was hit by a motorcycle heading south on Germantown Pike.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Police are investigating a fatal car crash that happened early Saturday morning in Broward County. It happened on in the southbound lanes of I-95 near the exit for Sheridan Street. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 34-year-old woman was killed as a result of the crash. FHP said four others, a 34-year-old man, 27-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, were seriously injured. Three cars were involved in the wreck, authorities said.

The incident happened at Churncote at around 7.30pm on Monday, October 4, when the man got out of his car, which had broken down.He was struck by a passing vehicle and suffered injuries to his arm and cuts to his face. The passing vehicle did not stop.

Authorities say the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on I-45 near Pleasant Run Road. Preliminary investigation suggests a Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck registered to Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. was towing double trailers north on I-45 in the right lane, south of the Belt Line overpass. Reports indicate that the victim was standing in the roadway ahead attempting to direct traffic away from her parked vehicle in the right lane.

MERIDIAN, Idaho (KLIX)-A man was killed when a pickup truck rear-ended his car on the interstate in Meridian Thursday afternoon. According to Idaho State Police, the crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. between Ten Mile and Meridian Roads in the eastbound lanes. ISP said the man, age 29, was stopped on the left side shoulder of Interstate 84 in a Kia Sorento when a Dodge pickup hit him from behind and pushed the SUV across all four lanes to the right shoulder.

The crash happened early Friday morning near Bowman and involved a car and two tractor-trailers, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — The Orangeburg County coroner has identified the person killed early Friday morning in an accident on I-26 that also sent a tractor-trailer into oncoming traffic. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell, the crash happened around 5:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-26 about five miles outside of Bowman.

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Nevada Highway Patrol was investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian Monday morning in the south Las Vegas Valley. According to NHP, the crash occurred near the I-15 northbound, north of Starr Avenue about 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 4. Witnesses told NHP a white utility truck was in the shoulder with hazard lights on. The male driver was outside of truck. A utility van in the far right lane failed to maintain the lane, swerved and hit the man.
