One Killed in Rear-End Crash with Parked Oversized 18-Wheeler on I-10 in Colton, CA
Colton, CA – December 26, 2021, one man was killed when a sedan collided with an oversized tractor- trailer on the shoulder of Interstate 10 in Colton. Authorities say the incident happened Sunday evening on eastbound I-10 near Pepper Avenue. Emergency crews arriving at the scene found a silver sedan crashed into the back end of the oversized big right on the right shoulder of the roadway. The circumstances of the crash are not yet known.

GATES, N.Y. (WROC) — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a motor vehicle accident on 390 southbound near the new flyover ramp in Gates Tuesday. A vehicle became disabled and was partially blocking the left lane. A box truck that was traveling in the left lane then collided with the vehicle and pushed it about 50 yards before coming to a stop. Both vehicles have been damaged and rendered inoperable.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the details surrounding the crash. PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A man has died following a crash along I-279. The crash occurred just before 2 a.m. Monday in the Northbound lanes of the highway, just after the Bellevue and West View exit. According to PA State Police, a driver lost control of their vehicle and the vehicle became disabled on the side of the roadway. A subsequent vehicle then struck the disabled vehicle.

Gallatin County, MT – December 26, 2021, Krysti Hoskins was killed and another person was injured following an accident where their vehicle hit a semi. Investigators reported that the crash took place early Sunday off the intersection of I-90 and Jackrabbit Lane. Authorities said that 27-year-old Krysti Hoskins was in a Toyota Rav4 merging onto westbound I-90 from Jackrabbit Lane. There were reportedly whiteout conditions at the time, and the driver of the Toyota did not see a stopped tractor-trailer ahead of them.

Rusk County, TX – December 25, 2021, 43-year-old Edmon Howard was struck and killed by a vehicle while standing near a disabled pickup truck on U.S. Highway 259 in Rusk County. Authorities say the incident happened around 6:35 p.m. along US-259, roughly five miles south of Henderson. Preliminary investigation suggests Howard was standing on or near the fog line of the roadway beside a broken-down truck. As he stood near the road a Ford F-150 driven by 21-year-old Alex Coursey approached from the south and struck him.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A person is hurt after police say they were hit by a car in Chesterfield Saturday night. Chesterfield Police say the driver of a 1999 Honda Civic was traveling Eastbound in the 7100 block of Midlothian Turnpike about 8:30 Saturday night when he struck two vehicles. The driver then got out of his car and ran across Midlothian Turnpike, where he was hit by a car traveling westbound.

On Sunday the Utah highway patrol received a call around 7 am that a camper was in the middle of the road with fallen debris everywhere. The driver decided to get out of the truck to secure the fallen debris and didn’t see the semi-truck heading in his direction.

A 6-year-old boy died following a five-vehicle crash in Roxbury on Thursday night involving a hit-and-run driver who is now being sought, the New Jersey State Police said. Authorities said a preliminary investigation revealed that at about 7:45 p.m. on Thursday a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox heading east on Interstate 80 was struck near milepost 28.5 by “an unknown vehicle that fled the scene.” The Chevrolet Equinox was then struck by a Honda HRV, which was hit by a Nissan Altima leading to the Chevrolet Equinox hitting a Honda Passport, which held the 6-year-old, police said in a statement.

A 21-year-old man from Grande Prairie was fatally struck on Wednesday after speaking to the driver of a semi that had collided with his vehicle. RCMP released more details about the collision on Friday after the next of kin notification was completed. According to police, the man’s car and a semi were northwest bound on Highway 43 before 9 a.m. when the car lost control and struck the semi-tractor. After the collision, officers say the car pulled off to the highway’s left shoulder, and the semi-tractor pulled to the right.
