JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An elderly woman is dead after a crash on J.Turner Butler Boulevard Sunday night. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to two separate crashes involving multiple vehicles on Sunday. FHP said the first crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Butler Blvd. and San Pablo Road. Authorities reported one fatality from this crash and all eastbound lanes were blocked for hours.

ORINDA, Calif. (KRON) — One driver died after a two-car crash in Orinda at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, California Highway Patrol said in a statement. The crash happened on CA-24 going eastbound west of St. Stephens Drive where an unoccupied Dodge Challenger parked on the right shoulder was hit from behind by a Toyota Avalon. The driver of the Toyota was a man who was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP said.

Officers say a man was pulled over checking something in the back of his minivan. As the man was at the back of his vehicle, a pickup truck north on the 99 towards Highway 152 drifted to the right, onto the shoulder and hit the man before crashing into the minivan.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A young man has died after a crash in Alachua County Saturday afternoon. The crash report from Florida Highway Patrol shows the 29-year-old was traveling northbound on SW State Road 121 near County Road 346 A around 4 p.m. when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and hit a pick-up truck parked on the shoulder of SW State Road 121. The head-on collision caused minor or no injuries to the occupants inside the pick-up truck, a 42-year-old man, and two children.

A multi-vehicle crash killed a Mendocino County man and injured his passenger on southbound Highway 101 Saturday afternoon, just north of the Sonoma-Marin county line, causing long delays in traffic. Two pickup trucks and a minivan were involved in the crash, which was reported to the Sonoma County CHP at about 5:44 p.m., the CHP said. Officers suspect the collision began when the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado, which was carrying the Willits man and his passenger, struck the rear of a Ford F250 that had either slowed or stopped for traffic ahead, CHP spokesman David deRutte said.

The youths were hurt when they and a man were pushing a disabled vehicle along Foulk Road near Marleton Road just before 9:15 p.m. A 2005 Nissan Maxima, operated by a 23-year-old Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, man became disabled in the right south lane of Foulk Road, according to Delaware State Police. The Nissan did not have its flashers on.

A driver who had stopped on Interstate 35 in Kansas City to vomit suffered life-threatening injuries after the car he was in was struck by another vehicle. The crash was reported to the Kansas City Police Department shortly before 2:30 a.m. Friday. The driver had pulled over in a Dodge Shadow, leaving it partially in the lane and the shoulder, according to a statement from KCPD. His door was open and he was vomiting onto the road when a Ford Edge rear-ended the Dodge, shoving it into a concrete barrier.

A woman has been hit and killed by a truck after she stopped her car on the side of a busy Melbourne freeway. She had pulled over to the side of the Monash Freeway opposite Darling Station at about 8.10 on Friday morning and stepped out of her car. She was then tragically hit by a passing truck and died at the scene. Police have closed all outbound lanes along the Monash Freeway with traffic queuing up along the busy motorway.

Preliminary investigations said that 43-year-old Eric Fisher was driving a Mercedes-Benz along the eastbound lanes of the interstate. Fisher’s vehicle went onto the Bowen Road exit ramp where an 18-wheeler was blocking the ramp due to mechanical issues leaving it disabled.
