AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department identified a man hit and killed on Interstate 35 frontage road in south Austin on June 3 as James Zachary Paxton, 43. Police said the crash happened at 11:25 a.m. in the 13300 block of the road. That’s near Slaughter Lane. Paxton had stopped his car on the shoulder of the highway to help another motorist, police said. He was outside his car when the driver of a 2007 Chrysler van hit him.

Driver of disabled car hit, killed by another vehicle on Airport Freeway in Euless

A man whose vehicle became disabled on Airport Freeway in Euless was hit and killed early Wednesday by another vehicle as he tried to walk across a ramp, Euless police said. The name of the man will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office after his next of kin are notified. The fatal accident occurred about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday near Main Street and Airport Freeway in Euless.The man had been traveling eastbound on Airport Freeway when his car became disabled.

LOUISA COUNTY, (WRIC) –Virginia State Police said they are investigating a fatal vehicle crash that took place on I-64 in Louisa County on Tuesday. VSP said troopers responded to a crash in the westbound lanes of I-64 at 12:10 p.m. on June 15. An off-duty Seattle police officer was struck and killed by a vehicle while helping a driver who had been in an accident on a freeway early Sunday, authorities said. LITTLE POINT, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One man was killed and another hospitalized Thursday morning following a three car collision on I-70, according to Indiana State Police. The wreck occurred around 12:05 a.m. Thursday at mile marker 52 near Little Point, Ind. and killed Alfred Hill Jr. of Houston, Tex.
