Police: Man killed in LIE crash involving FedEx cargo truck
A Lake Ronkonkoma man has died after being hit by a FedEx cargo truck on the Long Island Expressway, police say. Suffolk police say Stephen Neville crashed his 2018 Honda into a Nissan near Exit 60 in Ronkonkoma around 11:35 p.m. Tuesday. The Honda came to a stop in the center lane and the Nissan stopped on the exit ramp. Both drivers got out to inspect their cars, and when Neville got back in, police say his car was hit by the FedEx truck, killing him.

The Department of Public Safety reports five people killed in an early Tuesday morning crash at Buffalo in Leon County. A DPS spokesperson said it happened about 3:30 a.m. as a passenger vehicle that was northbound on I-45 struck the rear of an 18 wheeler near the 179 mile marker. The truck tractor rig was off the roadway on the shoulder with flashers operating and warning cones set out. The investigation of the crash was still underway Tuesday morning with DPS assisting the Buffalo Police Department.

LAKE CO. – Monday at approximately 1 p.m., an Indiana State trooper was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on I-80/94 near the 12 mile-marker. An off-duty Portage Police Officer was one of the first at the scene of the crash and was able to provide information to the Indiana State Police Regional Dispatch Center. Preliminary investigation revealed that a red 1998 Dodge truck was westbound and for unknown reasons stopped in the right lane.

NEOGA — Two men from New England were killed Sunday morning when their pickup truck hit the back of a semitruck that was parked along the shoulder of Interstate 70 in Cumberland County, Illinois State Police District 12 reported. The State Police reported that the collision occurred at 6:04 a.m. as Ethan Angerami, 19, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was driving his pickup west on I-70 near milepost 122, where the semitruck was parked on the right shoulder.

GRANDVIEW, Mo. — Two people were hurt and I-49 was shut down for both north and southbound traffic after three different crashes resulted in devastating damage. The incident happened at 4:34 a.m. on May 3, Capt. Ryan Sharp with the Grandview Police Department said in a statement. Two people were found with critical injuries. They were taken to the hospital. Sergeant Bill Lowe with the Missouri State Highway Patrol told FOX4 that there were actually three separate crashes that were a part of the overall incident.

Troopers were called to the outer loop of I-495 at Kenilworth Road around 3:35 a.m. for a report of a multi-vehicle crash.According to a preliminary investigation, the driver of a 2011 Honda Accord left the roadway for unknown reasons and crashed in a 2011 Porsche Panamara, which was stopped in the shoulder of the highway.

A man in his early 20s was killed Thursday morning in a fiery crash that shut down the eastbound lanes of I-20, DeKalb County police said. The crash happened shortly before 10:20 a.m. when the man’s car broke down just past the Candler Road exit, authorities said. Moments later, the car was struck from behind by another driver, causing it to catch on fire. The victim’s name has not been released.

A truck driver was killed and two people were injured Wednesday after the truck veered off the highway and struck two other trucks in Mesquite, according to new details released Friday by the Nevada Highway Patrol. Investigators believe that around 5:23 p.m. a white 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer was driving north on Interstate 15 near mile marker 123 when the driver veered out of his lane, striking the trailer on a blue 2013 Peterbilt tractor-trailer that was parked on the shoulder, the Highway Patrol said in a statement.

BOONE COUNTY, Ky. — Several helicopters were called to the scene after a crash on Interstate 71 in Gallatin County Friday left at least 12 people injured. According to Boone County dispatch, the crash happened in Gallatin County, just south of Verona, near the Boone County line, at around 7:20 p.m. It involved two vehicles. Shortly after the crash, both directions of I-71 were shut down for hours.First responders at the scene told WLWT that a type of transit van filled with adults and children was pulled off the side of the highway fixing a tire when it was hit by a semitruck.
