Car hits, kills man outside disabled car in Detroit
WAYNE COUNTY, MI - A man who stepped out of his disabled car on a Detroit freeway was hit and killed by another vehicle early Sunday, state police said. Troopers responded about 5:25 a.m. Oct. 17 on southbound M-39 north of Plymouth Road, said the Michigan State Police Metro Detroit post. Investigators initially determined that the man left his disabled car and was standing outside on the freeway, police said. A vehicle then struck him, police said, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Durban - A driver is fighting for his life in a Durban hospital after he was knocked while changing a tyre on the N3 on Tuesday morning. A two-vehicle crash killed one on Saturday morning on Interstate 35 west of Northwood. Just before 7 a.m. on Saturday, 21-year-old Tristen Brevik, of Hanover, Minnesota, was northbound in a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander on Interstate 35, a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol said. At the 218 mile marker on the interstate, just west of Northwood and near Diamond Jo Casino, for unknown reasons, Brevik’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a 2015 Freightliner semi truck which was parked on the right shoulder.

A second car then hit the first car. Two other vehicles then hit the second car. One fatality was reported with this accident.

According to regional dispatch records, the crash happened near the intersection of Germantown Pike and Manning Road in Jefferson Twp. The crash was reported at 7:50 p.m.According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, an initial investigation revealed that a vehicle heading south of Germantown Pike pulled to the side of the road with a flat tire. While the driver was trying to change the tire, she was hit by a motorcycle heading south on Germantown Pike.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Police are investigating a fatal car crash that happened early Saturday morning in Broward County. It happened on in the southbound lanes of I-95 near the exit for Sheridan Street. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 34-year-old woman was killed as a result of the crash. FHP said four others, a 34-year-old man, 27-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, were seriously injured. Three cars were involved in the wreck, authorities said.
