Person hit by car while changing flat tire on HWY 59
ROBERTSDALE, Ala. (WKRG) — Robertsdale police say one person was hit in the turning lane of Highway 59 while changing a tire Sunday evening. According to the press release, the driver of the vehicle that hit the person left the scene. They were later located. The victim was taken to the hospital and police say they are stable with unknown injuries. No other information has been released.

A driver died early Monday morning after they exited their vehicle and were struck following a collision on I-270, Maryland State Police (MSP) said in a press release. Around 12:39 a.m., MSP Rockville Barrack troopers were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the main lanes of I-270 North near Rockledge Drive in Montgomery County, MSP said in a press release. Investigators found that the pedestrian who was struck was the driver of one vehicle involved in the two-vehicle collision.

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - One person is in critical condition after a multi-vehicle crash that shut down Interstate 24 on Sunday. The Tennessee Highway Patrol tells News4 13 vehicles crashed outside the Waldron Exit near La Vergne. They say the crash started after a green Buick broke down and was hit by another vehicle, causing a chain reaction of all the other crashes. The driver of the Buick is reportedly in critical condition at this time.

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) – A driver died in a fiery crash after slamming into the back of a parked big rig. The crash happened in the Earlimart area of Tulare County just before 1:30 Sunday morning.CHP investigators say the driver of a Chevy Malibu was headed north on Highway 99 near Avenue 24. For unknown reasons, the driver drifted off the roadway and rear-ended a big rig that was parked on the shoulder.

A pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday night after he got out of a stopped car along Highway 180. The California Highway Patrol said the 19-year-old Clovis man was intoxicated and getting a ride from a designated driver, when the car pulled over near Fowler Avenue. The man then got out of the car and walked into an eastbound lane, where he was struck by oncoming traffic, said CHP Sgt. John Tyler.

Peel Police say a woman has died following a two-vehicle crash in Brampton near Winston Churchill and Steeles, just north of Highway 401. Police tell 680 NEWS the woman killed is in her mid 20’s and was a passenger in a vehicle on Steeles that stopped in a live lane. The vehicle stopped in the right lane and had four way flashers on. The woman got out to retrieve something either from the back seat or the trunk and she was hit by a car coming from behind.

A Lake Ronkonkoma man has died after being hit by a FedEx cargo truck on the Long Island Expressway, police say. Suffolk police say Stephen Neville crashed his 2018 Honda into a Nissan near Exit 60 in Ronkonkoma around 11:35 p.m. Tuesday. The Honda came to a stop in the center lane and the Nissan stopped on the exit ramp. Both drivers got out to inspect their cars, and when Neville got back in, police say his car was hit by the FedEx truck, killing him.

The Department of Public Safety reports five people killed in an early Tuesday morning crash at Buffalo in Leon County. A DPS spokesperson said it happened about 3:30 a.m. as a passenger vehicle that was northbound on I-45 struck the rear of an 18 wheeler near the 179 mile marker. The truck tractor rig was off the roadway on the shoulder with flashers operating and warning cones set out. The investigation of the crash was still underway Tuesday morning with DPS assisting the Buffalo Police Department.

LAKE CO. – Monday at approximately 1 p.m., an Indiana State trooper was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on I-80/94 near the 12 mile-marker. An off-duty Portage Police Officer was one of the first at the scene of the crash and was able to provide information to the Indiana State Police Regional Dispatch Center. Preliminary investigation revealed that a red 1998 Dodge truck was westbound and for unknown reasons stopped in the right lane.

NEOGA — Two men from New England were killed Sunday morning when their pickup truck hit the back of a semitruck that was parked along the shoulder of Interstate 70 in Cumberland County, Illinois State Police District 12 reported. The State Police reported that the collision occurred at 6:04 a.m. as Ethan Angerami, 19, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was driving his pickup west on I-70 near milepost 122, where the semitruck was parked on the right shoulder.
