Woman dead in Tea Gardens crash on Pindimar Road near Myall Way
Emergency services were called to Pindimar Road near Myall Way about 11.30am after reports a Nissan Dualis and Subaru Forrester were involved in a crash. “Police have been told a woman stopped her Nissan Dualis on the shoulder of Pindimar Road, when it was struck by a Subaru Forrester,” NSW Police said in a statement. A 64-year-old woman, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene. The Subaru’s driver, a 46-year-old man, was trapped in the wreckage before emergency services freed him.

The victim was in front of his vehicle checking front front-end damage when the collision occurred. A man who’d gotten out of his pickup truck to check its front end after hitting a deer was killed when another driver slammed into the back of his stopped vehicle. Donald Edward Zwilling, 56, had been northbound on County Road 45 in Lynden Township around 6:30 a.m. Monday, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said, but stopped near 6th Avenue after a suspected deer crash.

NEWPORT, Carteret County — A car crash this morning in Newport sent one person to the hospital. Fire and rescue officials on-scene said a car pulled off the road to call a tow truck for an abandoned vehicle when a white Dodge Challenger hit the good Samaritan’s car. North Carolina Highway Patrol said the driver of the Challenger kept going for about 400 yards–only stopping when they lost a tire.

An Oakdale man died early Monday morning after being hit by a minivan when he got out of a vehicle that had broken down. The collision occurred at 5:47 a.m. Monday on Crows Landing Road, near Clausen road, between the cities of Turlock and Patterson, according to the California Highway Patrol. The man, identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office as 26-year-old Anthony Lucero, was traveling southbound with another man when the Dodge Ram they were in became disabled, said CHP Officer Jose Gonazalez.

On the Gulf Freeway at Woodridge, a woman on the freeway caused a chain reaction crash when a pickup driver stopped to avoid hitting her. When the pickup stopped, the vehicle behind it slammed into the back of the truck. Then, another vehicle rear-ended that vehicle, and yet another vehicle rear-ended that one. In total, four vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction crash. Seconds later, a different vehicle, which was not involved in the chain-reaction crash, hit the woman.

A MAN was seriously injured after being hit by a car which then failed to stop on the Edinburgh City Bypass in the early hours of this morning. The 31-year-old man had stopped his Volkswagen car on the westbound on-slip road at the Lothianburn Junction to repair a puncture when he was struck by a car. The car failed to stop and continued westbound on the Bypass towards Dreghorn Junction.

Around 7:18 a.m., a Volkswagen Golf was on the right shoulder of the Gold Star Bridge and the driver was exiting the vehicle when a Subaru Forester headed northbound struck the person and the car door Firefighter Evan DeGaetano was driving northbound over the Goldstar Bridge when he saw the pedestrian hit by a car lying on the road and DeGaetano swerved to avoid the person and stopped to help out.

HERCULES (BCN) — One person died Sunday morning in a three-car collision on Interstate 80 in Hercules, according to the California Highway Patrol. The wreck was reported at 1:25 a.m., when a Honda Accord rear-ended a Toyota Yaris on westbound I-80, west of State Route 4.Both cars spun out of control and the Honda was left disabled on the freeway, where it was hit by a Lexus RX350, the CHP said.

CLAYTON, N.C. (WTVD) – Clayton police say a deadly hit-and-run crash that happened Sunday morning started with a fight in the road. Authorities said the crash happened at 6:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 70 Business near Yates Drive. A man’s body was found on the side of the westbound lanes. Police said Monday that investigators believe there was a fight inside a Chevrolet Silverado, which had stopped partially in the right lane and two people got out.

A Tacoma man was killed overnight Saturday after he was struck by a car while standing outside his SUV in Grays Harbor County, according to Washington State Patrol. The man was identified as Thomas S. Roberts, 49. His 42-year-old female passenger from Puyallup was not injured, according to State Patrol. About 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Roberts and his passenger had pulled over to the right shoulder of eastbound U.S. 12, near Satsop in Grays Harbor County.
