Driver of broken down van hit, killed by Mercedes-Benz in east Charlotte
CHARLOTTE — Police are investigating after a man whose van had broken down ended up being hit and killed by a car Saturday night in east Charlotte. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers were called around 9 p.m. to the collision at the intersection of Eastway Drive and East Sugar Creek Road. When they got to the scene, police found three people who had been hit by a car.According to investigators, a Dodge Caravan driven by 69-year-old Adrian Perez had become disabled in the roadway.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One woman is dead after a devastating accident along I37 Sunday evening. According to Corpus Christi Police they received a call just after 7:00 p.m. that a woman traveling along the highway stopped and got out of the vehicle. Police say the woman was hit by a black car and the driver did not stop to render aid. Police tell 3News that they are looking for that vehicle possible with front end damage.

A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle early Saturday while standing outside her disabled car on the Long Island Expressway, police say. Police say the incident happened near exit 66 in Yaphank when the woman’s car broke down in the right lane around 3 a.m. The victim was hit by an oncoming driver. Her name has not been released. PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — A woman who entered the roadway to offer help following a crash was hit and killed by an oncoming car, deputies say. It happened just after 10 p.m. Friday on Park Street and 62nd Avenue N., according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release. A man riding a scooter hit a boat trailer that had passed him, the sheriff’s office said. The driver towing the boat stopped to help, as well as other witnesses, including 62-year-old Michelle Lessl.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. - New details have emerged after a series of crashes on Interstate Highway 41 Wednesday, April 21. In the end, there were 20 crashes involving 100 vehicles – more than 30 of them were damaged. The incidents stretched 18 miles with people in need of help.The first crash happened in the Town of Wayne. SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A driver was struck by a vehicle and killed in Southfield after he got out of his car to talk to the driver of a pickup truck he had crashed into, state police said. Southfield police called state troopers to the scene before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday (April 21). The crash happened on Northwestern Highway near Telegraph Road, according to authorities. Police said the driver of a passenger car lost control and crashed into a pickup truck.

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle Wednesday just before 6:30 a.m. along WV Route 80. According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, the victim, Priscella Cline-Smith died at the scene of the accident near Paradise Island. Officials say the 62-year-old was from Verner, West Virginia. The sheriff’s department says the driver of the vehicle told deputies they were traveling north on Route 80 when they saw a tractor trailer stopped with its emergency lights on.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A good Samaritan died Friday night after she was struck by a car while trying to help another pedestrian in a separate crash in Sacramento County, according to the California Highway Patrol. RAYMOND, Miss. (WJTV) – A man has died after he was struck by a pickup truck while outside of his vehicle Saturday morning. The crash happened around 6:00 a.m. along Highway 18 near Raymond High School. According to Mississippi Highway Patrol, the driver, 30-year-old Andre Higgins of Utica, was traveling eastbound on Highway 18 when his vehicle became disabled. While outside of his vehicle, an oncoming Ram pickup collided with Higgins and his vehicle.

STERLING — A motorist was struck by two passing vehicles and killed on Interstate 190 after getting out of his car to inspect a flat tire. The fatality occurred about 9 p.m. Thursday on the northbound side. The victim, a 29-year-old Orange man, had been driving a 2019 Subaru WRX on the southbound side of Interstate 190, according to state police. It is believed that the vehicle went out of control and crossed the median to the northbound lanes.
